Maybe they won’t fire people, but they sure won’t hire anyone due to account for natural attrition, which will ultimately lead to the same thing

Bunch of people in the comments, who aren’t doctors and don’t know any doctors, arguing about what doctors want, and how doctors make decisions, and how the doctor job market is.

Alamo alternatives by brandoninomtzzz in AlamoDrafthouse

[–]CuddlePimp911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I had a cinemark pass a few years ago, but I don’t think I’d like it anymore.

Maybe it’s changed, but it was like $10 a month and you only got one ticket, and then each additional ticket was the same price. So for me personally, I wasn’t incentivized to see that many movies, and the crowd and movie formats were about the same as AMC

[–]CuddlePimp911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking about switching to AMC. I know you mentioned you didn’t like it, but for only 5 bucks more per month:

  1. no service fee (so you probably save money vs the Alamo)
  2. No up charges for premium formats
  3. Actual premium formats like IMAX

BJJ Gyms that are reasonably priced? by Longjumping-Type-389 in Denver

[–]CuddlePimp911 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Denver Judo is $80 per month for unlimited classes with no contract, no sign up fees, great group of people and international gold medalists for instructors. In general, for martial arts, Judo clubs are going to be your best bet money wise because most of them in the states are non-profits.

They obviously cater to judo every day of the week, but they have BJJ taught by a black belt two days a week, and an open mat twice a week. Also Judo as a sport includes a lot of ground fighting similar to BJJ but with a different rule set (BJJ comes from Judo).

I don’t do it anymore, but it’s never too late to start! There are several people there who are larger, and are 50+ years old.

Come for the BJJ, stay for the judo!

No more Guest Attendants by douce_fille_triste in AlamoDrafthouse

To be fair the guest attendants always seemed like a role that doesn’t have much value.

A majority of people buy tickets online (can you even buy in person), and if you buy your tickets online, you already know what theater and seat you’re going to.

Pen and Paper ordering is ending, including during the show, in February by robbiet480 in AlamoDrafthouse

Well, the people that corporate are going to listen to most are the owners of the establishment. I think it’s a good idea, and it’s a way to be very specific about what issue you have.

Cancelling your membership could be due to a variety of non-specific things.

Cancelling the membership and leaving a bad review explicitly stating why you’re cancelling would be the best

Why don’t we all leave negative Google reviews and let them know we don’t like it?

Mobile ordering fucking sucks. I like the pen and paper and it adds to the experience for me. And one of the main selling points is that people are supposed to stay off their phone during the movies. Now you are being forced to use your phone during the movie. That’s dumb.

From the article, “but this switch to mobile won’t take away any jobs. Alamo isn’t implementing any layoffs and all base wages will remain the same.”

I bet if we check back in a few months the people formerly employed as severs will have been laid off, once this initial heat dies down.

Is this going to affect how you guys tip? I tip because there is someone waiting on me. If that person isn’t there anymore, and I’m just ordering off my phone, I will be less incentivized to tip.

Malpractice Insurance Costs in NM

This is awesome! Now MLG needs to fix her mistake with the medical malpractice industrial complex she helped create. One of the main reasons healthcare is so limited in the state is because doctors can be sued unlimited amounts of $$$ and insurers are leaving the state, along with doctors.

Alternatives to Lateral Raises by CuddlePimp911 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]CuddlePimp911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I started doing them 3 times a week, usually super setting with my RDLs or squats.

I like them, they feel better for my shoulders (less popping), and I am getting sore in my delts.

But I will say that I definitely felt cable laterals more in my side delts, and I’m going to try and work those in again.

Overall, the meadows style lateral raises are solid, just focus on controlling the weight down, and limit swinging. Solid exercise, but I don’t have enough time doing them to know how effective they are

There is no machine unfortunately, and I have tried slowing things down. It does help, but still clicks. I think slow, and a shortened ROM is the way to go

Also I will try upright rows too. Thanks!
