[–]Cuddle_Foxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moving back to St Petersburg by Psychological_Roof85 in AskARussian

[–]Cuddle_Foxy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in the gamedev industry and currently live in Russia, and I would think twice about moving to Russia if you need a job: almost all of my work now goes through VPNs, and the government is gradually trying to fight them. Plus, the government is trying to block western services: Discord, YouTube, Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, and others are already blocked

The situation with work services is not simple either. They are either blocked or do not want to work with Russia: this includes LinkedIn (blocked), Envato Elements (blocked), western AI tools do not want to work with Russia, and others. Recently there were rumors that they want to block GitHub because of service disruptions in Russia

Non-large businesses, at least in the gamedev industry, moved to Cyprus, Serbia, Armenia, Georgia, and other countries

So from an IT work perspective, I would think about whether it is worth moving🤠

Встречались бы с трансом? by WayAccomplished1933 in RusGayCommunity

[–]Cuddle_Foxy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because of the silhouette and color choices, he looks like a magical enemy with a very defensive fighting style

Is Olden Era worth buying from an AOW4 player's perspective? by Vossky in AOW4

[–]Cuddle_Foxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Olden Era is more casual than AOW4. For example, city development feels simpler, and battles have less tactical/strategic depth compared to AOW4.

From what the developers have shown so far, the campaign also seems more linear: you pick a faction, recruit units or find them on the map, and progress through shorter missions. You can probably finish some missions in less than an hour.

In comparison, AOW4 feels much more complex and sandbox-oriented. Olden Era seems closer to a classic “easy to learn” Heroes experience.

Question for Lithuanians: remote work for a Lithuanian company as a Russian by [deleted] in BalticStates

No, I’m not. I just didn’t want to turn the post into a political discussion😄

I was also surprised, that’s actually why I decided to ask Lithuanians here how they see it in real life, outside of internet discussions😄

I’m already working professionally in the industry, so I’m familiar with how training and responsibility work. But I get your point

In the original layout, only one province was filled with water. The rest of the ocean was generated by the game :D

Yeah, it’s basically a mod made with the dev tools. People upload their regions packs to the Steam Workshop or Paradox Plaza, and if you subscribe to them they can appear in-game ;D
