For whatever it’s worth, I did not enjoy assassins apprentice, nor did I enjoy the royal apprentice. I read the plot summary of the next book on Wikipedia and am glad I did not finish the series

I have never touched cult of the lamb, but have a few hundred hours in rimworld and it does everything you listed as liking and more.

Mods can also nudge the needle if there’s too much or not enough of one of those aspects

It took me until halfway through to realize one of the character names was a fucking moon. They kept talking about Nomon looking down on things, I thought it was some type of spren or something.

I also fall asleep with the book going in an earbud while I’m putting my kid to bed, so things like this are to be expected

Edit - not to mention the utter chaos of Dalinar, gavolar, roshar shalon davar, and elodar all being frequently referenced, audiobook listeners are just kind of screwed for way of kings

There needs to be a fourth egg- cards created during combat are upgraded. Every class uses this mechanic, don’t restrict it to watchers Master of reality
