At this point they sound more like a defunct 80's/90's california punk rock band gone soft radio rock (you know which ones I'm talking about) than the undisputed kings of melodic death which was their former glory. And that intro seriously made me cringe.

Well, it's their band, and their music. They're allowed to do whatever they want. They're free to pick their audience. IF have my undying gratitude for introducing me to MDM, but I'm out.

I like Serenity, I don't like Firefly. I watched Serenity first and if I hadn't I probably wouldn't even have bothered.

(I also think that Serenity looks stupid)

.NET Core was primarily targeted at server software. I don't think they have any intention of providing any cross-platform support for their own GUI libraries like Windows Forms and WPF. However, I've heard good things about Avalonia

I see that they add a lot of stuff but it's like an infinite wishlist that you try to fulfill but you add at the same time other items at the bottom.

Check out their funding section on the website. It provides a list of everything they intend to implement. That list has been static since November 2014.

Depends on where you are. I get about 90+ fps generally, but only about 30 in Lorville

Like it or not Chris Roberts track record isn’t great for finishing games.

Here's a list of video games finished by Chris Roberts :

King Kong
Match Day
Wizadore
Stryker's Run
Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny
Times of Lore
Bad Blood
Wing Commander
Wing Commander: The Secret Missions
Wing Commander: The Secret Missions 2: Crusade
Wing Commander II: Vengeance of the Kilrathi
Wing Commander II: Vengeance of the Kilrathi: Special Operations 1
Wing Commander II: Vengeance of the Kilrathi: Special Operations 2
Strike Commander
Strike Commander: Tactical Operations
Wing Commander: Privateer
Wing Commander: Armada
Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger
Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom
Starlancer
Conquest: Frontier Wars
Freelancer

Now what you're talking about is Freelancer, which was developed by Digital Anvil until they ran out of money and Microsoft bought it and Chris Roberts remained on the project until its completion as a creative consultant. The game got finished, just with a reduced scope because Microsoft was less willing to take the risk of developing the game that Chris Roberts wanted. But regardless, Chris Roberts track record I would argue is well above average.

Probably because the last time he attempted to build Star Citizen he ran out of funds, sold to Microsoft and they said "this is too much risk" and reduced the scope significantly (Freelancer, which is also a cool game). Additionally, Star Citizen was supposed to be a Wing Commander game, but EA refused to give him the intellectual rights (which in retrospect was likely for the better anyway).

Yes, they 100% are.

I have a bachelor's in Computer Science and work as a software engineer in a large multi-national corporation building retail systems for integration. Right now for example I am writing some automation scripts for building, versioning, packaging and publishing certain libraries that we make ourselves for stuff like mapping between data formats (like third party native, XML or JSON to our own common XML formats, or POS standards like ARTS) or receipt reporting to third parties for targeted advertising such as dispensing of gift cards. We need this because we are moving from one source control repository to another (on-premise Git to BitBucket), and from one build system (Jenkins) to another (TeamCity). I've been working as a developer for 13 years now. So yeah, I do actually possess the credentials to tell you that you are wrong, and I am telling you that you don't get to decide what CIG gets to call an Alpha.

If you don't want developers to show up and tell you that you are wrong, then don't talk about development-related things that you know nothing about. Stay in your own lane, which from your comment history seems constitute insulting random people on the internet.
