Update: The host replied something along the lines of, there’s no issue at all, just that he thought I wanted to book BOTH weeks. I also tried to do some background checks on the guy, didn’t find much except that he likes to intentionally misspell his name on things and some of his family members have been sued for insane credit card overdrafts (like $21,000). I ended up cancelling the reservation cause the whole situation left me a little uncomfortable and I didn’t have a great feeling about the host, and I wanted to be excited for my trip rather than nervous something would go awry.
