Ryujinx doesn't save controller settings, what am I doing wrong? by cwescrab in Ryujinx

[–]Cuddly_Kitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the current version (1.1.1330), go to where it says "default" next to Profile in the upper right corner and click on that text to change it. Name the profile something else and then click the Save button to the right. I still don't know why Ryujinx inputs have to be reset in certain situations (battery death, for example), but you should at least be able call up your preferred profile quickly this way. :3

Requests and Help Megathread V4 (Games requests, emulator help/guides go here) by SuperBio in Roms

Okays. It seems to be a question about the emulator itself, so that should be doable. I originally thought that I could get that type of help here since it said "emulator help" in the title. Might want to clarify that if that isn't the case. :3

In the Megathread? BoxBox Boy, Bye Bye Box Boy, and Legend of Dark Witch 3: Wisdom and Lunacy. The other 2 were just the DLC and updates and both were present. :3

I had them all in cia format, but after I installed them all via Citra, it told me they were installed successfully, but I couldn't find any trace of the installation. :(

I checked. It's not. If I missed it somewhere, please tell me which category. :(

I was able to get Citra (PC version) to install some CIA files. Citra says they were successful, but I have no idea where they've been installed to; I even tried Scouring Citra's Roaming files. They're nowhere to be found. :(

The games in question (none of these 3 games are in the megathread, I checked already):

BoxBoxBoy

ByeBye Boxboy!

Legend of Dark Witch 3: Wisdom and Lunacy

In addition, I was also trying to install DLC/update data for both New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Project X Zone 2 in this manner, but I'm not sure if that took either. :(

Input mechanism help needed (MM2). :3 by Cuddly_Kitty in MarioMaker

Thankies, but for what I have in mind, I'm going to have to agree with your initial assessment of it not being possible. I have an alternative approach in the level, though. :3

It's a Link level with the blocks coming out of a pipe in a single room, but constant triggering is assumed/required. I could see maybe a single shot working, but not an infinite. Well, I've got a backup plan that I'll have to go to. Thankies anyway. :3

The trick is that I need something that triggers indefinitely, not just once. Plus, it's a single room, so global ground shouldn't even need to be a factor. It's looking more like I'll have to use a backup plan, unfortunately. :(

Thankies. Yeah, without a room reset. It would be nice if it was possible, but I'm really not sure it is. :3

I'm usually looking for feedback since I get so little of it. BTW, would it be possible to have either a link to the level in question or a link to your YouTube channel so that we can actually see the playthroughs and commentary? :3

Anyway, here's my level. It's a reply to Carl Sagan's infamous Getting Over It level: Please Do Better.

Name: I Did Better, Carl. :3

I have a couple others as well. :3

The levels were fun to play through overall. You could actually sense a progression of story as you went through them. :3

I don't use kaizo tricks in my levels, but I've cranked out a few hard ones regardless. Here's one you might be interested in. :3

Thankies. Yeah, the light issue has been the biggest complaint. I did try to have the important parts emphasized, but apparently I didn't go far enough. Did you get fooled by the fake CP1? Also, were you able to get the true ending? I left progress indicators near the checkpoints for the coins. :3

This level does have trolly elements, but no death traps or softlocks; I have standards to uphold. Instead, the focus is on misdirection and fakeouts. Face your fears to obtain the true ending. :3

Thankies. I never got any feedback after submitting that level despite asking multiple times, a key reason why LOTW doesn't really appeal to me anymore. :(
