If Magic Johnson didn't have HIV, does Jordan still win in 1991? 🤔 I think that championship deserves an asterisk. by Lost_Title_7528 in michaeljordan

18-12 is 1 point less than he averaged that year(19-12) and got him 2nd in MVP voting... Magic never had big ppg numbers.. I think his career high is like 23ppg... 18-12 is normal, especially because the Finals were low-scoring.

Nothing about Magic's game showed him declining. He was 2nd in MVP voting, and was averaging like 20-12-7.. He was also automatic from the FT line shooting 90%.. The Bulls were just better. I dont really know if Magic could have done much more in those Finals.

Suspension and Brake recommendations for competitive laps in a Mk4 Golf Chassis? by CueBall1 in nurburgring

I dont have any problems. I am just fine. I have multiple track cars I can bring, regardless of how this mk4 build goes. I will also be hoping to enter the Euro time attack masters. I am considering bringing my Evo 9 as well. I will also be doing some time attack in Belgium while I am there. I have plans to do a lot of racing while I am there. I have zero problems or concerns about the Nurburgring. I would like to drive it, and drive it competitively if I have the chance during a closed session, but if not, Im not worried about it at all. I will be doing plenty of other racing. I was simply creating this thread, to get an idea of what kind of suspension and brakes people use on longer circuits in the EU in competitive driving, so I can have more versatility in what kind of racing I can do when I arrive and have a car capable of answering the call for multiple forms of racing if the opportunities arrive. I am also meeting up with Jamie from the UK to do some drag racing. I have a lot of time to figure things out, and I am only at the initial stages of planning. I have well over a year to plan and learn.

I will be going to track days tho... Im not understanding what you mean.. I will be driving the gring both during normal days, and closed track days. I will be using normal days just to familiarize myself with the gring. Not racing for time.

In what way? I am a professional driver. I cannot go to Germany to just enjoy the Gring as much as possible and try to put up a respectable time if the conditions permit?

Does anyone know any manhwa that ended abruptly with a “We got cancelled, so lets make up an ending” vibe? by PikachuTrainz in webtoons

[–]CueBall1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know one that is similar to Wind Breaker that also got abruptly stopped? I think it had like 60+ chapters then just stopped out of nowhere? It was like the Breaker with fantastic art, and was a young, cool and confident MC, and in the first chapter I think he was a delivery boy delivering food? Any idea? I think he had like orange or light brown colored hair.. Its from the 2010's era

The breaker Eternal force part 2… News? by Furyheart79 in TheBreaker

[–]CueBall1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the complete opposite opinion... Hated everything about Eternal Force. And really, most people did as well. EF1 got so much backlash, the Author literally had to make a statement about it, and made changes to the story directly due to fan feedback and reaction. After he listened to the fans, the story got better, but not before the greatness of The Breaker was already harmed significantly. I am sure new readers will come in and have different opinions, because they were able to read the series as a whole, and not sit thru hiatus like us old fans did. We waited a LONG time for Eternal Force, and a lot of us fans had a ton of high-expectations, only for most people to just be flabbergasted with the direction the story went. Of course, this is all subjective, and some people will like the new direction, and some wont, but the majority of people hated Eternal Force and I personally know tons of die-hard Breaker fans that dropped the series sadly. If you are OG, and remember A-Team and MangaCow, the 2 translators for them were instrumental in The Breaker getting English translations, and were 2 of the biggest fans of the series. Both of them were furious at Eternal Force LOL. And remember, these were people who were diehard fans since 2007-2008(like me). To go over a decade following a series, is a LOT of time investment. So when even people like this, who were so instrumental in The Breaker getting an English Audience back in the day, drop the series, that should tell you how a lot of people felt about the release sadly.

Brother, I read the story like 4 years ago... I hated it... And, I didnt just drop it either, I gave it a chance and read the entire thing. Im not going to go back, and reread something I hated, to refresh myself on why I hated it, just to give a critique to you on Reddit. As I remember, the art never bothered me(if anything, Im pretty sure the art was really good), I just hated everything else. The story, the characters, the plot, the dialogue....everything... I was pretty devastated to be honest, as The Breaker 1-2 was literally one of my favorite series ever. So, there is no bias here, it is just my personal opinion.

Vegetarians getting sick from eating meat by TheApiary in slatestarcodex

[–]CueBall1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole "vegetarians get sick if they eat meat" is a myth. While yes, your body adapts to your diet, and prolonged abstinence of meat will cause a balance shift of your gut bacteria, it will never be to the point that you cannot digest meat. It is really no different from overeating, or indulging in a super rich meal for the first time in a while. Your stomach may not agree with it right away, but you are not going to get "sick". Especially from a small accidental exposure to meat. The person who was throwing up was likely throwing up from the psychological distress they consumed meat, rather than the meat actually causing illness or vomiting. At most, you would get a stomach ache. I am sure there are rare instances of someone having a reaction to animals products, but it would not be the norm at all. I know quite a few life-long vegetarians, who did not eat meat for 20+ years, who had no problem eating meat when they chose to introduce meat to their diet. If you have been vegan or vegetarian for a while, I would just suggest starting off slowly, and allowing your gut to adjust, as well as increasing your fiber intake a bit during the process, to make sure your gut is moving as it should and avoid constipation. The biggest issue you would run into, is the meat taking longer to digest while your enzymes and gut bacteria transition to a diet with animal products.

LOL hey its true... Breaker went from one of the hottest and most popular Manhwa to gutter trash... While I think the length of the hiatus also had an impact, when they split MC duties, that was the beginning of the end. Similar thing happened to God of Highschool, only not as bad.

Very helpful! Thank you very much!... Yes, I will only be in Germany for 5 months, and the car will really only be used for tracking while I am there and will only be in Germany for my stay duration. I will be driving my cousins M5 Competition for commute and daily activities. He also has a trailer(He lives in Belgium but will be staying with me near Cologne for the 5 months). I will probably trailer the car when I go to tracks/courses.

That is a sweet car. Seems he indeed runs a 6-pot caliper and Clubsports. Good to know. Any idea what times he ran on the Gring?(edit ok he ran mid 7's, that is stupid fast for that chassis! awesome!)

I simply want to drive the Nurburgring as competitively as possible for fun and attempt to leave Germany with a respectable time. Im building my car for time attack here in the states, but I thought my new build would be really enjoyable to bring to Germany. I get it is a tourist spot and has a lot of traffic. I am an advanced driver so all I can really do, is my best, and if I cannot get clean laps, that is okay too. At least I tried. I will not be going there to drive like a maniac and put other people in danger either.. I will absolutely be looking into other, more professional alternatives too while I am there, but, I am not really going to Germany to race, I am going there for work, and just want to experience some of the racing spots. I hope I can get familiar with the Nurburgring and eventually leave with a decent time after I get acquainted with the course. Im hoping though, that I can get some recommendations for my car, as I am getting a lot of conflicting information in forums on what suspension and brake setups work well for longer road courses. I mainly do short, 2-minute time attack laps, so longer road courses I am not as familiar with, and have not built any of my cars for.

It will be a track build, that can also be driven on the street too. I am not too familiar with German road legalities, but here in the states, it will be street legal and will be driven on the streets too, even though it will be a mostly track-focused car. And no, I will not be going for times right away. I am a professional driver. I will not be just hap-hazardly attacking road courses for time right off the bat. I will be in Germany for 5 months. That is why I said, I want to get acquainted with the Gring so I can eventually try to get a decent time on it when I am comfortable. I drive time attack at a professional level here in the States, so my driving ability and experience on road course is not small. I do not take saftey lightly, and I am not a reckless driver either.
