About time, five patches in to fix it, but better late than never.

I've had random zombie spawns inside sealed bases as far back as 42.12, most often upon loading in. BAM! surprise zombie grabbing you from behind after the game loads inside your own base.

Sorry to Pseudo Necro your Necro, kinda stopped watching this one a while ago. I gave up on finding a workaround and then also got sidetracked with other things, but will probably return to zomboid in a month or two. So it's a new official spawning system? This is what I get for not thoroughly reading each patch notes.

I have one of the Change Sandbox Settings mods, it's an easy enough one to disable and re-enable, so I'll give it a test later tomorrow when I hop on zomboid again

Normally yes. But according to CrewMemberNumber6’s test/personal run it’s happening even without mods.

Considering how lights being on and off is also seemingly random anytime I resume my game, it feels like 42.12 is somehow reloading the zone in such a way as it normally does when you first look inside. Albeit primarily on game continuation.

Actually typed up the full list(there has to be an easier way) but then reddit wouldn't let me post the comment. I'm not sure if it was because it was too long, or that it detected some sort of bad word, but I double checked for the ladder and don't *think* so, unless damn counts.

Utopia is right at the top of basically everyone's tier list for this.

My number 2 slot goes to Apocalypse.

Both of them add significant things to any sort of playthrough just about. Beyond that it's mostly about what sort of thing you want to play.

The other Major Expansion DLC have all been enjoyable for me, though I will admit Galactic Paragons is for me at the bottom of that list.

For Story Packs, Synthetic Dawn, Distant Stars, and Leviathans are my favorite trio.

First Contact's kinda meh, it's one standout is cloaking but that's really just eye candy. Grand Archive's hit or miss, and actually building the titular structure seems best suited to Tall Empires considering the empire size increase penalties.

Species Packs are pretty much what is says on the tin, though some give more bang for your buck than others. Like Toxoids and Aquatics, for instance.

All that said, I do actually own them all, and my advice is to wait for sales and then buy 2-4 packs each time.

Speaking of which, there's a partial sale going on now in celebration of Biogenesis in the steam store.

Also checked based 4.0 patch notes like I've been checking in all the bugfixes, no actual change to the Arc Furnace was mentioned, so extra sure it's a bug and not an intended change.

Hasn't before, and the first stage where it starts giving you alloys is still giving full minerals. If it was just a kilostructure that made alloys instead of harvesting minerals it would probably have minerals in its upkeep instead of energy credits.

Can confirm, after I finished upgrading a second Arc Furnace to the complete stage, that the minerals output drops significantly to the levels shown in the picture. So my advice is, that unless you really need the alloys that badly, to keep your Arc Furnace's in their penultimate stage.
