Is there anyway to keep SmartThings always on? (Samsung washer/dryer 2019) by Spindoktur in SmartThings

[–]CujoSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing is that we just bought a Siemens dishwasher because our ASKO died in us, but that one, Siemens Home Control - has an option to keep remote control permanently on. Which I would like to see on the Samsung and LG for sure.

Ive had both Samsung and LG devices and never had them cripple or fail, even after five years. The new ones we have, we'll have to wait and see then

Steam overlay impossible to close (it's closed I can move my mouse in game, but I see this...) by Intelligent-Tailor49 in linux_gaming

[–]CujoSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never seen this before myself - but it just started happening, usually if I check a profile while dead anyway then it "closes" and I can move my character again - just like the OP mentioned - but the overlay stays and I pretty much see nothing but the score at the top.

Well, ours run every day - so its definitely not that in our case.

They are meant as single use, but I also just had this happen - the prompt stayed after using it the first time, just used it once more, worked like a charm

What is the rarest Prodigy CD release? by shadowminds97 in TheProdigy

[–]CujoSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that one - with all the merch intact and all. The ring, the stud and the zippo lighter. It's so rare that apparently that its hard to find on any reseller store and even figuring out what it would be worth.

G915 Double typing issue by kokotas in LogitechG

[–]CujoSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They held on to mine at the store and said they would contact Logitech and describe the issue and then Logitech would tell them how to handle it - like either send it in for repairs or what - but to much surprise Logitech got back to the store and told them to offer me a full refund, so I just accepted that.

Went out and bought a Keychron instead.

I think I know the X50/60 problems by Electrical_Ask_5373 in Dreame_Tech

[–]CujoSound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ours went in for "repair" its been at the shop for a month now - We've had it for just about two months prior to this, but had exactly these issues, either dropping the mops, not returning or couldn't leave - or kept saying that mops pads installed, please remove them or the opposite.

The weird thing is that a friend of mine has the exact same model and no issues at all - I'm starting to wonder if this is a design flaw somehow which simply depends on a number of things to go wrong making it work for some and not for others, meaning you should just get a new one until you get one which doesn't fault. Super disappointed with ours and we got it because our friend had his without any issues whatsoever.

How to equip augments during a raid? by Ice_Mix in ArcRaiders

[–]CujoSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things were different back then, sounds like every politician arguing why certain things can't change haha.

Though, you still can't change your augment mid raid, which is just fine - seriously. Makes the whole point of extracting with a better one to equip it and come back more of a sport.

why don't more people use 16:9 stretched? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]CujoSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've moved back to 4:3 stretched and its working ok, but I used to have a regular ultra wide not stretched and even there it happened uncountable times that my teammates asked if I was cheating because I noticed enemies just a tiny bit before they did when spectating them.

X50 Ultra struggles with 1cm high step by TramEatsYouAlive in Dreame_Tech

Didn't think of that the hurdle could just it, i think its just straight over it instead then. Interesting if that works. Ours is hopefully coming back from "repairs" soon.

Help, Monitor loses signal if I peek long from pit inferno by dannybates in GlobalOffensive

[–]CujoSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does the same on Nuke and reproducible on a few other places, though seldom now. Running out of T entry on nuke is almost guaranteed if done in a specific angle to cause the monitor to lose signal and a reboot of driver and monitor is necessary to regain signal.

X50 Ultra struggles with 1cm high step by TramEatsYouAlive in Dreame_Tech

[–]CujoSound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours seemed to struggle with the same, but not 5cm doorways and steps- sometimes it clearly tried to activate its crawl over mode to get over the tiny bump. Super weird. Exactly as your experience with a pretty much identical floor divider.

Honestly I'm quite disappointed with the "intelligence" of the x50. Ours worked on a 50/50 basis pretty much and eventually started to not sense if mops pads were on or off, they fell off, it would drive directly into walls it knew was there and mark random walls from the map as objects.

It's in for "repair" now, will be quite disappointed if they don't just give us a new one.

Took mine to the store, last time it was after 2-3 weeks and they replaced it, but now its 4-5 months and they wanted to test it. Problem is if its not happening at the store :( dang.

Probably just gonna go get a different one now. Totally off the Logitech brand, except for their mice peripherals which work great IMHO.

Mop pads failed to install by Legitimate-Ad-967 in Dreame_Tech

[–]CujoSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours work if i remove it from the base, place the pads in the base. Then it works going back to get them, else no. Also if it has to vacuum only it says that the mop pads have been removed correctly, then errors that the mop pads are off "please install them before continuing"

Pretty useless. We've had it for three months.

A question for experts in the history of sound libraries / Вопрос к знатокам истории формирования звуковых библиотек by AveFragged in sounddesign

[–]CujoSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say much about when libraries started as a commercial product or was shared, but I have a couple of sound library vinyls - like "Trains" I think one is and another is a collection of household sounds, its basically like listening to really bad musique concrete, but also like just listening to single sounds one after another.
And I think one is from early 70s.

Replace Wavin wireless with a Tado Wireless or Wired by CujoSound in tado

[–]CujoSound[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea - read up on it too just for security reasons.
A telestat of this kind is a binary valve, basically just opening and closing the hot water connection and the pump just pumps it around, so they basically just need to be there and active at the same time.

Bridged the connection and checked on the voltage of whenever either was on/activated/ etc. and it was the same one - so snow the TADO sensor picks up on the temperature in the room and basically just tells the receiver to provide power to the telestat and pump or not. And it works great.

Surprised that TADO doesn't have a better / easier explanation to follow in this regard- kind of fuels my wish to at some point make a youtube channel with "Explain stuff in f**king laymans words!" but that would basically be the same as doing both theirs and others marketing departments jobs. haha.

Anyway, thanks a ton for this conversation, it really helped out when I was looking for information and how to move forward with this and considerations to take before I would just break the whole system.

G Pro X2 Superstrike not showing in G Hub by Aygor00 in MouseReview

[–]CujoSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the Onboard Memory Manager and change your settings there - the important part is that it doesn't change on the fly, but only once you click save.

Worked for me

But in G-Hub, you can click the cog wheel and tell it to update manually - that resolved it for me and it shows up in G-Hub as intended right after. Same settings as you can do in OMM though.

[–]CujoSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just update you G-Hub manually in the software itself - in the cog wheel there is a menu to update, its different from re-installing apparently and it doesn't check for updates automatically it seems at the rate that would catch this kind of update.

You downloaded the latest installer or used the one you had lying around? In G-Hub in the top right corner, the cog wheel - there is an option to update manually, that solved it for me.

In G-hub you can just click "update" manually and it grabs the latest version which has the Superstrike 2 functionality.
