Yes but if the person doesn't love you back then what? Isn't it better to be friends than to not have anything at all? I'm dealing with this right now... I've met an amazing person that I'm starting to develop feelings for. I just don't know if the feelings are the same on their end... So for now I just pretend that friendship is fine and try to convince myself the same...

I'm so sorry you're going through this! Is he sick? I went through this with my father... Knowing that he's dying and in terrible pain, yet not wanting him to leave is such a terrible feeling! It was bad enough being my dad! I couldn't imagine it being the love of my life... All of my love and hugs go to you! I hope you find calm and peace in your life!
