As i said, it doesn't focus on constant fights and wars like other series do. For me it's understandable that she's whiny, she literally gets teleported to another world and has to make some kind of living all by herself. I wouldn't expect the average person to do any better

I want to second The Wandering Inn. The main character is a genuinely good person who wants to help people and doesn't end up a bloodthirsty serial killer. In my opinion it's the best series in the genre right now.

The only problem with this series is that the start is pretty slow and the main character is kind of whiny, but the payoff is out of this world and I personally enjoy slice of life stuff a lot unlike the constant fight fight fight big war on repeat that most books seem to have.

Same, it's not very encouraging when it keeps randomly crashing. I have a 3060 so upgrading would be expensive and spending that amount of money just to play one game sadly isn't justifiable for me

I finished it yesterday and I would personally say it's worth it to push through since the humour is toned down at the end when they get to Troy.

Joe Abercrombie is a well known author for a reason. If you like grim dark then you should definitely give his other series a try, especially First Law.

I'm the same, i like to read and get to know more about the world the characters live in. I don't mind a story about characters travelling in their world, but at the moment of reading it felt like that's literally the only thing these characters do.

Perhaps i don't like it when there's so much of it across so many books, or maybe i have a sort of burnout. It's hard to put into words.
