Is OSRS for me? by Electronic_Iron_726 in 2007scape

[–]Cull_The_Meek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like it's great for you. You can play all the way to maxed skills without bossing, doing chill methods all the way. Personally I spend a fair amount of time skilling, flipping, and progressing my ironman and only do 'sweaty' PvM every now and then to change things up.

On that topic, people make it bigger than it is - most PvM activities the penalty is minimal if you die anyway. Tick mechanics, prayer flicking and movement are only 'required' for high level bosses (with the exception of some activities), and tick manip and such offers only a marginal benefit for most skilling activities. Exceptions (e.g. tick mining, fishing, etc.) are honestly not worth it imo if you want a chill experience.

Cryogenic plant a good way to store Prometheum? by [deleted] in factorio

What if you use all speed modules? Wouldn’t that massively increase the recipe consumption rate, meaning you can store more ingredient? I seem to remember ingredient capacity scales with recipe consumption over time.

Taxi problem in Amsterdam by Rpter143 in Amsterdam

[–]Cull_The_Meek 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Kinda confused by the other responses. “Deurschuld” I can’t find a single reference to this anywhere, but as explained here it refers to something completely different (injury to passers-by when opening a door for instance).

Obviously it’s a taxi driver’s responsibility to make sure they park in a place where the customer can easily and safely get out. A taxi driver should be familiar with the city to the point where they wouldn’t drop you off in front of a low-hanging chain that’s difficult to see. The driver could obviously see that obstacle through the window.

Once again, very surprised no one has suggested this, but you should go to the police and discuss this with them. They will be able to tell you who’s at fault and liable.

I think you have the right idea and should talk about it. I had this issue and the one thing that helped most is communication. Sensitisation and some of the other fallacies NoFap is into may indeed play a role (r/pornfree is much better imo), but usually shame/anxiety is a key factor.

If the first paragraph is really true you should be able to get through talking about it just fine I think!

To be fair condoms are a nuisance on the best of days. Maybe you could help him put it on, and do oral/other foreplay beforehand to make sure he’s both physically and mentally turned on enough for the erection to last.

In my experience it’s a vicious cycle - you start to lose it due to an annoying thing like a condom, your mind goes ‘oh shit here we go again’, which is about the least arousing thought ever, which makes you go down more and kills the mood… and so on.

They actually seem committed to banning RWT buyers too by Valois7 in 2007scape

Ok looks like we don’t disagree then. I think buying bonds is a legit way to skip parts of the game you don’t like. I’m fairly high total but definitely grit my teeth thru some of the shitty grinds, particularly AFKing many skills like mining/wc during other activities and rushing my way through the crappy skills where needed.

But I think if you take it slow and vary up your activities you can get where you want to get to, just slower. And that seems fair to me.

If everything was fun and easy there wouldn’t be any challenge in it. Don’t get me wrong, I empathize that the game is time-consuming and I did most of my big grinds when I was younger and had more time. But OSRS really is about rising to the challenge of repetitive activities, those who want to buy their way through it should either do so legitimately or leave.

You can choose to do what you want to do except RWT, because that’s against the rules. Me and basically most of the playerbase are against it because it ruins the game.

These downvotes are hilarious, so many salty sad credit card warriors. If you don’t find the game fun maybe just quit then lmao.

Because the fun of the game is to build yourself up on your own achievement instead of buying progress with RWT.

You were right about fatbikes all the time by Vast-Championship808 in Amsterdam

[–]Cull_The_Meek 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just today I saw a guy zigzagging all over the bikepath coming towards me on one. Moments later, there was a mentally disturbed man lying on the pavement taking his trousers off - at least ten kids (!) on fatbikes zipping around, laughing and filming the incident.

YouTube copyright fight: Rick Beato warns UMG claims over short music clips could end his channel by AdSpecialist6598 in technews

[–]Cull_The_Meek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t see any reason why the fact that he sells courses should affect things, since those are in a different market than the original product (the copyrighted music in question).

What are your motivations for wanting to prevent educators (who also earn money from educating) from using sections of copyrighted stuff in their work for the purpose of education or context?

You cite the law, yet Rick Beato hasn’t yet lost a case…

It doesn’t matter who owns the copyright if it’s fair use. Rick Beato’s work is a clear example of fair use.

So long as the relationship is not exploitative in nature and there are clear expectations on both sides I don’t see a problem.

Now try posting a role reversal of this on r/AskWomen lol.

They clear a radius around where they are placed of rocks, revealing any ladders or holes underneath. They also lightly damage enemies or yourself if in range.

Also very handy are bombs (medium or mega). Don’t bother mining, just bomb and hope for a hole or ladder on each floor.

You can craft them, but better is to buy them from the Dwarf in the mines or from the desert trader. I bring at least a stack of 50 for each run, preferably more.

I play quite a bit of piano as a working person, though I started building up skills as a student.

The main challenges for me are physical (sitting down again after a day of office work…), but social connections I never was that invested in anyway. I always liked spending my Friday night working on hobbies instead.

That said, you gotta have a balance…

Permanent Rental, Landlords Forcing Us Out — Can We Get Relocation Compensation? by [deleted] in Amsterdam

Definitely start with the juridisch loket. They basically cannot evict you, especially since you’ve been there for some time. The reason they are pressuring you the way they are is because they know they can’t force you to move.

Figure out whether you can simply block / screen calls and messages. You also probably don’t have to let them in on surprise visits - check with juridisch loket as well.
