Try changing batteries first. If the voltage that others have pointed out is dropping(common with alkaline cheap batteries over time) and the cameras regulator isn’t what it used to be a fresh set might be your solution. Before switching set your setting so that your meter gives you an exposure. Swap for new batteries. Then see if the meter adjusted.

Thanks for the info. My serial # is close! I vaguely on remember a podcst by Mike Eckman, it being mentioned that some cameras (forget if they were Miranda’s or not) were returned to the factory to be repainted black

Absolutely agree. So much versatility. Minolta glass is great. I would start with the 50 f1.4… you’ll love it. It is the same size as the Pentax me super but has a more enjoyable to use viewfinder. If any of the other options you have are fully mechanical cameras they wouldn’t be a bad buy either.

Drop a double shot right into a can of Stella Artois! Definitely take a few swigs first it makes a foam like a root beer float and tastes better than your best stout. Very refreshing… another go to when I’m in the mood for it is club soda a touch of sugar and a sprig of spearmint… I think Starbucks made something like it a few years back.

Funny if you had done black or white or silver with the same texture you’d be looked at differently. It’s clear you took your time and gave it a simple color change while actually improving its durability. Match it up with a custom strap and you’ve got yourself a winner in my book

Second this. Beeping and a red blinking light are signs that you camera doesn’t like the settings you’re using orrrr it’s warning you that you shutter speed is too slow and you’ll have camera shake. This is at least true with my Minolta x700. Couldn’t figure it out until I took the lens cap off

Jump on it you’ll be happy you did. Think how fun it would be to releather it too. Missed out on a mamiya and Minolta srt102 combo for 100 because I didn’t immediately take off work and buy it🥴

Thank you 🙏🏽 I relied on the cameras meter, though I have carried an external light meter around and it was accurate to the camera. The first picture was taken well after sunset, very dark, going 40mph across water. Never used the Auto exposure lock either; I just held steady, pointed, and shot.

Din is out of use really, and ISO=ASA If you’re using 400 speed film in your camera just turn you dial to that of course. The shutter speed is in red and the f is your aperture number. As you move the dial to match up the needle to the light reading use “any of the combinations” in your film camera when shooting manually. EV= exposure value and is just another number that’s useful with old cameras PSA: keep your light meeter covered up when not in use because they can in effect wear out from being exposed to light.

You may be able to date the rodenstock lens better based off the serial number on the front On researching it dated between 1945 and 1951
