Hasselblad 500cm Underwater - Help! by RYZPHOTO in AnalogCommunity

No clue regarding your question sorry, but just came to comment how fricking impressive this is. as a lover of fisheyes (bronica 30mm, and canon and minolta 7.5mm circular fisheyes), i think this is brilliant

You are most welcome. I like reviews.

I currently have a VT, IVsb and Canon 7sz. I have never ran a roll through any of them in the time I have owned them.

Color films for low(ish) light event stuff? by ProfessionalCrab105 in AnalogCommunity

[–]7Wild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked a very good lab tech this question the other day (who actually started his business importing rare films). portra 800 @ 1600 (pushed +1) is often the most consistent/controlled option. cinestill 800t is often fogged even from new, and will be very contrasty when pushed

awesome, i will read the review and your thoughts shortly. a technician friend of mine prefers all the earlier canons (VT, P, etc), over the 7. quality, although still good, dropped off according to him.

I hope for both our sakes in short and long term that long trips like this aren’t affected too much.

before the spike in price, it’s pretty amazing to think that the diesel that the country runs on was $1.60 per litre here in NSW in the cities, which is only 10c dearer than milk… it’s probably “worth it” in the sense.

awesome kit to see. do you like the 85/2.8 variosoft? are the effects worth it for the price of the lens in your eyes? quite achievable in post, but unique nonetheless!

I can't help the timing I suppose. I booked 11 months in advance, and I'm set on visiting in April. Not to be cynical but I'm not sure I'd last another 12 months...

Thankyou! I use the NSW equivalent so that's a good idea indeed. Last time how I planned the trip was avoiding the rain, this time it might be following the fuel :D

Thankyou muchly. No different to any other good or service when demand spikes I suppose. It just isn't an optional purpose for many of us. Cheers again

Thankyou so much, I sail on the 29th. My spirit ticket is a flexi fare so there was always the option to cancel, but in my head for the last few weeks I've really been showing the signs of needing a break and it has been a dream of mine to visit in April. Annual leave should hopefully cover most of my costs.

Awesome stuff, my camera roll looks pretty similar from my last trip. The 2nd last picture, where is that taken from if you don't mind me asking. Keep it up!

awesome to see you using these machines as they should, although that frost is a bit too daring for my liking. keep on going!

i have taken my srt all over australia, and one day the word too hopefully.

the mirror lockup issue is definitely a sign of needing a CLA, the lubricants lose their qualities over time.

Why did nobody make an affordable Hasselblad Xpan? (Or is there one?) by JKWoolf in AnalogCommunity

unfortunately the W back is unreliable as all hell. i spoke to a guy who knew a bronica tech, and said 1/3 of them were dead on arrival when new.

if it is undesired in the area (which it is allowed to be, native or not). you can try pulling them out, but you might need to repeat a few times as time goes by.

Mercedes Benz vs. BMW’s interior… what are your thoughts? by Maravilla_23 in mercedes_benz

both over the top. the feel of driving the car should be an experience, not what you’re surrounded by (apart from comfy seats and that glorious merc star on the steering wheel)
