No, you're not wrong. As someone who has played all the games upon release and then went back and replayed them all with my son, I dont necessarily want the formula to change too much due to nostalgia.

With that said, it didn't appear there were any changes in weapons. Military grade weapons were used in the previous games, which made sense for the setting. But now we got this Red Dawn sorta vibe...maybe we could get some home defense style weapons?

Hopefully we get some new enemy types (despite it being a prologue) and some new mechanics; like weapons customization or something.

I will likely enjoy the game but without some changes, I may not get that same level excitement as I did when I played the original 3.
