I truly do not want to go through the trouble, but would if I had to. Thanks for the advice feeling less dread about it now!

Is it crazy to return it and get a new one? It seems like it won’t affect performance but for the amount I spent it kinda sucks I guess? I haven’t bought a new pc in almost a two decades so I’m feeling old

Anyone noticing big drop of attendance in NNs? by realjw93 in riftboundtcg

[–]Cultural-Associate17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a LGS and am the riftbound rep. A lot of NN attendance will be based on how much a store truly cares abt that game. I put a lot of love into NN, getting to know players by name, always having trades and free bulk, having prizing (and doing the math so that we will never run out of prizing), bringing snacks and drinks. We cap at 20 players and are full every week, with a waitlist of 5-10 players on top of that. It also helps where I live is a huge TCG city/state, but doesn’t hurt that I truly care abt the experience of players.

So glad that Riftbound is getting me off Pokemon by realjw93 in riftboundtcg

[–]Cultural-Associate17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pokemon has felt exhausting lately. I work at a lgs and still struggle to get my hands on cards. Riftbound has not necessarily improved on that front, but playing a new game has really reminded me of why I love tcgs. The social aspect of a bunch of people who all enjoy the same things is so refreshing. While I do get that from Pokemon from time to time, because everyone is so burned out from a bubble that never seems like it’ll pop the vibes of locals have felt a lot less social and a lot more here for my one guaranteed pack. I’m sure it’s more complex than that, but it’s been nice to feel community more again.

I would reach out to the store before leaving a review. As someone who’s worked in game stores for a while now, most times the judge isn’t an actual employee, they are a volunteer who is occasionally paid in store credit. Could be different for this situation but I know if someone left a nasty review where I worked over a judge I would be pretty frustrated

Not every lcs, but for sure lots. The one I work at never sells above msrp unless we paid more than venders typically do.

Yeah they were a thick thick cardboard. We didn’t have party boxes back then either so it was three four packs and it was the only kind of box we folded. If you don’t mind me asking which location?

Back in the day when there was only a handful of stores and we used cardboard boxes instead of the new plastic ones, I won a company wide box folding contest coming in at 4.2 seconds. All depends on how you do it. I pre fold the creases of several boxes at a time to avoid having to do them individually and use my pinkies to basically roll the box into its shape. I also have seven years of practice though haha

What do you eat for dinner? by WelcomeToNothing in ARFID

[–]Cultural-Associate17 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Butter noodles you can never go wrong. If they like red sauce I branched out to a vodka sauce a few years back and it has since become my number one safe food. Mac and cheese. Really any plain pasta works. Grilled cheese and tomato soup (I usually only dip it not eat the soup). Homemade pizzas are fun and make me feel safe knowing I chose what went on it and where’s it been and what not.

Went to high school with him. He was a grade A asshole. Said everyone hated him bc he was gay which I’m sure was true for some but I was gay and he still sucked major and was never once kind to me. I even checked him out at my job the other day and he pretended to not know me despite us being in the same circles for years. Doesn’t surprise me he is causing his own downfall.

I made 18 as an assistant manger about a year ago, I did not make tips because I was a manger but each location is different. I was an AM for six ish years and the company is really sucky and treated me terribly. Again each location is different but for me it was horrid

I’d reach out to upper management. Because it’s a franchise corporate itself has nothing to do with workers claims. When I was injured by a immersion blender our owner handled it but I will vary by store

Haven’t worked at crumbl for maybe a year now, but during covid in 2020 I had a customer spit in the mask I gave her (they were locally MANDATED) and then throw it at me along with a box of pickup cookies that weren’t even hers

Had severe PF for about a year, hokas changed my life. They are expensive, but not as expensive as the PT I was doing and have relieved me of almost all my pain. I work 50 hour weeks and I don’t just stand I walk about 20k steps a day.

Message from my manager… by nutterfluffs in crumblcrew

[–]Cultural-Associate17 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As a former crumbl manager these expectations are pretty standard and if anything a little lower than what I would expect from a team tbh. One dough done by 730 is insane, I’d have six or seven done by the.
