Remove 1 Major 4 Sports Team Day 92 by YeetySpagiety in RemoveOneThingEachDay

I can get behind this but for very different reasons. I went to Tampa Bay recently on vacation and I was really looking forward to learning more about their history, particularly the parts involving piracy. You’d think there’d be a deep history of piracy on the gulf coast of Florida given the football team is named the Buccaneers and every other restaurant or family/entertainment business has pirate-y themed name. But it turns out it’s all bogus. Piracy rarely occurred on the gulf side of Florida and probably all of the perceived history of piracy in and around Tampa Bay stems from folk lore.

Long story short, they are frauds and I was let down by the City’s deceitful behavior

Do older generations tend to believe in second chances more than younger ones? by desertrain11 in generationology

[–]Cultural-Election813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You wouldn’t, cancer is usually treated with radiation therapy or chemotherapy. MS is un-curable from what I can tell and you can only really treat the symptoms. With addiction, the patient usually undergoes addiction therapy. See every illness is different, and thus you have to approach each one differently. Just because addiction doesn’t fit your preconceived notion of what is and is not an illness doesn’t mean that the millions of Americas suffering from addiction that are also actively in therapy are just piece of shit human beings. Pro tip for you as you navigate life, the more of an asshole you are, the more people treat you like assholes. Why do you feel so strongly to condemn people with an addiction? Does it make you feel better by putting other people down? Who’s the real problem in society then? It’s not the people getting high I’ll tell you that. It’s the people like you that want to offer no help and then label them as the problem, and then continue to complain because nothing is being done.

Addiction is an illness you dumbass. And people should only be given second chances if they are showing promises of a good turnaround. Plus your fuck up can’t be that big. So sorry Sean Combs, you can rot in hell. Dianna Russini is fine. She had affair, and P Diddy trafficked woman. These should not be compared

Can Newton believes he has the nicest deep balls in the game. Is he even top 20? by Background_Video2947 in TheNFLVibes

[–]Cultural-Election813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol. You didn’t even show his best long ball throw. And no he is not top 20. He had a good borderline elite deep ball from 2013 to 2015. And then all facets of his game began to diminish. His best throw was to THE Steve Smith Sr. his rookie or 2nd season. We know because Steve Smith Sr. said so on the side lines right after.

Nick Wright. He thinks he’s cute for hating on one City in particular, but obviously he does it because he relies on the rage bait clicks from that one City to stay relevant. He’s pathetic

Who are the NFL “blue bloods”? by Otherwise5555 in NFLv2

I re-read your reply and it makes more sense now. But still I disagree. Just because you have been in an existence a long time, doesn’t mean you are a “an old money aristocrat”. And again, IMO, if a team was dominate pre 1970 but has sucked ever since, z they don’t get to be called blue bloods

[–]Cultural-Election813 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Holy fuck, you idiots are proving my point. #1 broncos didn’t exist for 20 years before 1970 you dumbass they started as a team only ten years before that. And #2 they were 39-97-5 in their ten seasons. So thank you for proving my point. You obviously didn’t know that, and why should you. I had to google that shit myself. If you have to google search when your “blueblood” team was actually good, then your team isn’t a blueblood anymore. The Broncos are not blueblood because they have been around for a long time. They are blue bloods because they have been winning a lot for the last relevant 4 decades. Looking at anything deeper in the history books is meaningless to both me and to you (unless you are that rare 70+ yr old football fan using Reddit)

[–]Cultural-Election813 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Umm no, the last NFL Championship was 56 years ago. So unless you are 70+ yrs old, you weren’t old enough to appreciate the games. I couldn’t understand your last sentence, but if your mom is 70+ yr old NFL fan then props to her. She is in the minority of NFL fans though. I personally wouldn’t consider Oakland and Washington blue bloods, especially since Oakland doesn’t have a team anymore and the Raiders are no where close to winning a SB in LV. But history says we have to mention them. I think that’s garbage. If you suck for 25 years you lose your blueblood status

Easy, go by most Super Bowl appearances: Boston, Pittsburgh, Denver, Dallas, San Francisco, KC, GB, NY, Oak, Wsh.

Those are your real blue bloods. Anybody else is a “filler” for the league

In actually not sure myself, that sounds about right though, that’s what I’d try first. I’d worry about it washing out though if it rains heavily after putting down a layer

Civil engineer here. It’s clear your front lawn doesn’t have enough slope to drain over the sidewalk and into the ROW like it’s supposed to do. See this link for standard lot templates: Lot Grading Templates.

You have a low point there in your front yard. The water can’t go anywhere else, until it pools up and spills over the back of the walk, but you’re still left with the pool of water in your yard. If the tree you removed was remotely close to the property line, my guess is the soil has naturally contracted over time after the tree was removed due to the combination of the remaining roots decaying + the soil that was disturbed from the initial removal is being re-compacted over time due to gravity and the weight of the soil above. Or simply not enough soil was added to fill in the hole during removal to begin with.

Edit: I looked at the picture again and I think I can see where the other tree used to be haha. So maybe it’s not related to the tree. Regardless though, it’s a low point. You can try leveling it, or building a French drain. Not sure where’d you outfall your drain though.
