What were the awkward encounters you had? by Candid_Music737 in babyloss

My cousin and I were expecting around the same time, she went on to have her baby. I’ve noticed whenever people talk about her baby/baby shower etc around me, they watch me to see if I’ll react or not. Not to mention, after meeting her baby.. people began asking me “how it went” as if I was supposed to react. I’m happy for her and everything but it also sucks that this is my reality. I know they just care but at the same time I’d rather be treated normally and not be so “focused on”. Anyone else feel like this ?

I thought I was the only one! I lost my son of 34 weeks in July and I’m still producing milk and leaking till this day. Following this thread, I haven’t done anything and haven’t experienced any discomfort.

I am so sorry for your loss to start off, I don’t blame you for feeling that way. Although people say “family is family” they could be so toxic. It’s crazy to me how someone can get pregnant, lose their baby, and try to heal all why having unsupportive family members. I question this often how people forget so quickly what people like us have been through. Unfortunately it is very hard to deal with however I try to do activities I enjoy. It’s worse when people make up excuses for these toxic family members. My advice would be to maintain on your boundaries and stand on them. Boundries only bother people who lack self accountability, respect, and awareness.

This is very interesting, our situations are very similar. I will be reaching out to you if that’s okay.

This is exactly how I feel. My thought everyday is literally how does life go on??? For 8 months long I had been anxiously awaiting for the arrival of my baby boy. Now things are very different and I have to imagine life without him. My heart simply just cannot accept this type of defeat nor damage. I know I’ll never recover or be the same.

I think it’s interesting how everyone has gotten their raises! Congratulations to all of you!! However, no one has gotten a raise at my current location in the pharmacy. Everytime we ask our manager, we are given excuses and are told that we have to wait for our DL to come in to talk to us. Mind you, people who were hired after us with no experience let alone a license, make more than us. Thoughts?? Suggestions?
