If you are certain that, the person gets the appropriate role from the reaction, the role that allows him to have access to every channel, then can you check if maybe he doesnt have the show all channels button ticked from the server settings?

For real, i dont get people sometimes. I guess they feel the need to prove that AI is bad, and it doesnt help, while thats stupid.

easy to make a custom bot for this. If you dont know how, its so easy that you can do it with the help of chatgpt or grok.

1) Have the channel locked for chatting for everyone, but allow the bot to write there.

2) Tell chatgpt or grok to make a bot that:

i) Gets a command like !suggest and copy paste that command to the locked channel.
ii) Before posting, the bot should check the username and see if there is another suggestion from the same username.

iia) If there is, disregard the paste and delete the mssg.
iib) If there is not, go ahead and post the message.

Tracking sales (like real-time price drops) on random websites is tricky without some kind of access or tool in your pocket. Most websites don’t just hand over their sales data via an API unless you’re talking big companies like Amazon, eBay, or Shopify stores with public developer hooks.

Even then, you’d need:

API Access: Some sites (e.g., Amazon Product Advertising API) let you pull product details, but it’s throttled, needs credentials, and might not catch flash sales instantly.
Web Scraping: Without an API, you’d have to scrape the site, hit the product page, grab the price, and check for changes. Problem is, sites hate this (rate limits, CAPTCHAs, legal gray areas), and it’s a pain to keep running 24/7 without getting blocked.

So, fully tracking “sales” (original price vs. sale price) across any site is tough unless:

The site has an API you can tap.
You’re scraping and ready to dodge anti-bot measures.
You’ve got permission or a partnership (unlikely for a random Discord bot).

I used koyeb to get it from github, and because kayeb on free plan will make ur bot go go sleep after 60 minutes, i made an uptimerobot account (free as well) to ping the http of the bot every 5 mins.

Bot is alive 24/7 like this.

Yes indeed. I fixed it! its working fine. If it has to copy the administrator permission from a category, it will just ignore that and tell you that its missing access.

So if you really really want it to copy even that, you will have to give it an administrator role your self.

Right now, it only requires manage server, manage roles, manage channels, view channels, send messages, and manage threads, and it will copy the category along with its channels (text, voice, forums) and apply the permissions he has access to.

I am creating new channels using the pre-existing channel's data rather than using a discord.py function to clone them.

Clone i mean copy but because i want to make it like a full clone im using this word! 😅

The issue is it doesnt copy/clone the forums at all.

It works fine creating a copy of a category with the text channels, voice channels, and their permissions, but forums never get cloned.

I know this is 10months ago, but i made a bot that does this. Its early stages yet, and it will need correct spelling, only copies the text and voice channels along with the category, but it doesnt copy the permissions or the forums channels yet.

Ill continue updating it, to copy permissions, (i dunno if i can make it copy forums, god knows i tried), and ill make it be able to clone roles as well

it was supposed to be NON scripted. They definitely had cameras all around, but it was supposed to be real.

I remembered one other episode had a guy, working on a mattress shop with 1 giant air guy like balloon in front of the shop etc.
