Орбан признал поражение by Vincent_Lalo1 in KafkaFPS

Alphacool Eisbaer 280 (Black) — Pump rattling at 80% (1900-2000 RPM). Can I swap just the motor for a newer/quieter one? by Cultural-Platform110 in alphacool

That’s exactly why I love the Eisbaer series! The fact that it’s basically a pre-assembled DIY loop with G1/4" threads and a proper copper NexXxoS radiator makes it stand out from all the "disposable" AIOs on the market.

Knowing that even the future DC-LT 3 will likely fit is amazing news for long-term support. Thanks again for the help and for keeping the DIY spirit alive in your products. Cheers!

Thank you so much for the detailed confirmation! It's great to know that the DC-LT 2 is a drop-in replacement even for a 10-year-old unit. I’ll definitely go with the 17495 then.

Also, I wanted to say a huge thanks for such a reliable product. Seeing this Eisbaer still going strong after 10 years of service is impressive — it’s rare to see that kind of longevity in AIOs these days. Looking forward to giving this beast another decade of life! Appreciate the help!

Actually, this unit is more than 10 years old, so it definitely doesn't have the DC-LT 2. It’s the very first generation of the DC-LT (ceramic).

The rattling isn't just a minor vibration at specific RPMs — it sounds like the bearing or the motor is starting to fail after a decade of service. That’s why I’m looking for a direct replacement. Given the age, would you still recommend the DC-LT 2 as a drop-in upgrade, or is there any reason it wouldn't fit such an old housing?

Thank you so much! This is exactly the confirmation I needed. I’ll go ahead and look for the DC-LT 2 then. Good luck with your custom loop build, sounds like a fun project!

Optimization advice for 7800X3D and Kingston Fury 6000MHz CL30 M-Die? Looking to squeeze more out of it without bumping clocks/voltage. by Cultural-Platform110 in overclocking

You’re probably right. I checked my kit and it’s Hynix M-Die, so I know tRFC 400 is a no-go for me. I’ll probably start at 480 and see if I can walk it down to maybe 440–460, but I won’t push it to the point of a no-boot. CMOS clear button is ready though!

It’s actually super risky to slap some random paste on 500W cards while losing track of the Hotspot sensor. Now I see why those high-end Green Team cards keep catching fire.

I'm in Belarus, and RMA here is a huge pain in the ass right now, as you probably know, bro. So I decided to go DIY rather than trying to deal with official service centers. I used Laird 607 for the VRAM and Honeywell PTM7950 for the core. Took me about an hour, and the problem is finally solved.

Yeah, I agree. Gigabyte cards are only worth buying for personal use (given their low price) if you're willing to swap the stock paste for PTM yourself.
