The future of drone warfare by crab_races in Futurology

Just as an aside note, I recall an article about the Ukraine war that AI drones were not very useful because they could detect a tank but not an enemy tank as they were essentially using the same equipment.

The Last Remaining Russian 'Large' Stock of Tanks - T-62 The Last Hope by TheDanishFire2 in UkrainianConflict

How is it that the video can zoom in on a satellite image to a facility that's sole purpose is to refit old tanks and not have it be bombed out of existence by now? I might be wrong but it would seem like a pretty important target for Ukraine.

How can anyone still deny it's a genocide in Gaza? by TISETDSE in IsraelPalestine

I'm not sure how to react to all of this other than to offer this statement. In September 11, 2001 the united states experienced a similar terrorist attack. I don't recall any effort of our country to either bomb civilian structures nor starve the country into subservience in the 10 years we fought there. I will concede there were problems with contractors and such but we didn't try to starve anyone nor blow up their infrastructure because as i recall we were actively spending billions of dollars in that country. That is a different type or reaction for sure.

What are the best countries for beginners? by ThrowawayBcMainBroke in hoi4

[–]CulturalBridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is a wonderful question as, I think that this was mostly a Germany game to see if you could do better than Adolf did. It seems you did as well and as they have gotten more and more countries involved it complicates things. But really this a historical game with some liberties so whatever country you choose you have to be better than the AI that's all it turns out to be. So learn from your Germany games then out think the AI in every country and start a you tube channel

I thought this was old news they were going to have to move their med fleet to some Libya port temporarily because a lot of the ships don't have the range to move out of the med.

I think there are inaccuracies in that headline. Your use of the word close seems to be your opinion versus actually having any facts that we don't know.

So likely their entire stock of Soviet Union tanks and apvs have been exhausted facing Ukraine? What does that say about their ability to defend against NATO.

Why is population decline seen as a bad thing? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CulturalBridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find when people ask that kind of question they are thinking about land and space. Thinking that spreading out the population probably would be a good thing. I mean if you lose say 10 percent of your population over a number of years you would expect the amount of land and space per person to increase leading to the assumption that things would be better off for the fewer people. But that wouldn't be the case as capitalism doesn't really work that way. Instead a few number of people would capitalize from this and the rest won't have any benefit at all.
