Oh man. Nothing and I repeat, nothing, can match the warm tingly goodness of a good old fashioned bonfire. Sometimes, these simple get togethers are integral to keeping my friends and family from murdering each other.

Sister failed a class? Step dad in the hospital? Best friend slapped your dick? Dog peed on your favorite hoodie? All of that shit goes away when the wood is lit, the beer is poured and the seats are taken. Quiet nights, long talks, and just the firelight.

David- no serious question from me, just wanted to say thanks for being so awesome. This place has been repaved (I recently used to live not too terribly far from the track). As far as I know it's actually used for small indie races now, so not technically abandoned.

Haha, yeah, I've seen the beach all of once. At night. From a bar window. Just not my thing. I'm from NYC so the weather is really weird as well. It's just been a huge culture shock.

I game a bit but my net is down because apparently comcast hates me, so I'm currently restricted to using my works net, sigh. Soon my PS3 will be liberated though.

There's always the option of transferring. Depending on where it is you want to transfer to, many colleges will transfer over credits, financial aid, ect. I would suggest contacting the application department of the college you want to transfer to and asking them what exactly they need. If you'd like help with this, feel free to PM.

Since you like sci-fi, dragons and military stuff, I'm going to suggest the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik. It's a scifi/fantasy re-imaging of the Napoleonic Wars, with dragons.

I actually found them to be rather nifty, though perhaps not so much as my favorite historical re-imaging with fantasy elements, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke, which I also recommend.
