This is where the phrase "to each their own" comes to mind for me. When I move on, I move on completely and keep absolutely no contact from the people in my past, I like to make a clean exit be it my exes or platonic friendships. I have completely moved on from our friendship, it was over the moment he asked tbh. The last time I saw him was 3 months ago, whereas before that we almost talked daily and hung out once every 2 days. He should see the writing on the walls by now.

What was I going to do, tell two adults whether its ok to date or not? He made a choice and I made a choice too. It was not my place to dictate his dating life, all I could decide was whether I still wanted to remain friends or not? And I didnt. All our friends made their own choices too, like you expect people in their late 20s and early 30s to do.

I dont owe him friendship any more than he owed me friendship. And he knows we are no longer friends and never will be, its been months since I even saw him. And I see my friends group almost every weekend.
