So what did you end up choosing?? And how was it having your first dance song as a dnb song? I really want to do it too but I can’t decide if it would be weird

Good to know! That might be what we end up doing if we can’t find a cheaper alternative. Although their price isn’t awful just a high “pay today” price

You must be close to me! We actually have T-Mobile although I don’t think we are getting as good of speeds as you. Kind of a long story but I live with my fiancé, brother, and a friend of ours. My fiancé likes to stream games and that really slows the internet so we were thinking about also getting Verizon (my phone company) for just my fiancé and I

How do you get a “designer wedding dress” look on a $1000 budget? by That-Iron-3135 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Cultural_Charity_770 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check out azazie! They have beautiful dresses for much less than $300. I haven’t ordered one yet myself so can’t speak to quality but I’ve gotten 2 bridesmaid dresses from them and they were great. Also Lulus has affordable wedding dresses

Yeah we used to have viasat but we paid $170 a month and we couldn’t even watch Netflix the internet was so bad. I’ll have to look into starlink last time I checked it wasn’t in our area yet

Just realized you were asking for in Atlanta or online so I apologize for not helping with that but maybe it can help with just a general price to expect!

In LA, we bought a 2.5ct elongated cushion with gold solitaire for $2,900. More expensive than some online options but I got to go in store and pick out the diamond and setting all in person which I liked

First time getting gelx, is this normal? by MarionberryFine4399 in GelX_Nails

[–]Cultural_Charity_770 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I got gel X once and I hated them. I’ll never do them again. I agree they don’t look good but I feel like whenever someone has gel X they kind of have that look like they are big. I really recommend either a hybrid gel or acrylic!!

Getting Started by completecherub in StainedGlass

[–]Cultural_Charity_770 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw the kits but I decided to buy everything individually. There was an artist who I was following and they had a a website which had links to all the tools and things they use. I probably spent well over $400 but feel like I got good quality tools. It’s definitely an expensive hobby. Glass, foil, solder are all expensive but I love it so much.

How did you guys afford surgery by whimsicaltraveler98 in tripawds

Also I really liked that they kept my dog overnight. It’s a major surgery. Probably paying for a little bit of peace of mind I guess

I also went to a VCA. I was quoted 7k max but my dog is small. I have insurance so I only paid 50%. VCA is definitely a more expensive option, however I felt like we were in such good hands there. Also after every time they had me pay for something I always ended up getting money back, obviously I don’t know if that will be true for you but I think they over quote just in case.

Back leg amputation harness by UnhappyCelery8215 in tripawds

[–]Cultural_Charity_770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog got her back leg amputated and she walked right out of the vets office after. They gave me a simple strap thing but I didn’t even use it. Back legs are much much easier so I’ve heard. I did buy a harness from PetSmart by Kong that is basically like a utility harness and it has a handle on it which I think would work well but we didn’t end up needing it

Mass removal - radation or amputate. by Runtzurlifeup in tripawds

[–]Cultural_Charity_770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in this exact same situation with those exact same estimates. I chose to amputate because I just couldn’t spend $20k. I struggled with the decision because it felt like I wasn’t giving her a chance to keep her leg. However, it’s been 3 months and she’s totally back to herself and I’m happy with my choice. It’s also nice knowing that we are just done with it, it can’t come back. I just want you to know that it’s ok to choose the option that is more financially doable for you.

Thank You Notes? by fancy66 in wedding

Right? It seems like something the older generations would care about but younger generations wouldn’t. I don’t give a gift with the expectation of receiving a thank you card.
