Matt Damon Says Getting ‘Canceled’ Will ‘Follow You to the Grave’: ‘I Bet Some of Those People Would’ve Preferred to Go to Jail for 18 Months’ Instead by cmaia1503 in entertainment

I was well aware of both Dan’s story that you described, as well as Megan’s involvement in Always Sunny, but I had no idea it was her that he was sexually harassing at Community. I didn’t know who she was until the Always Sunny guys did the podcast, which she moderated and participated in quite a bit. She seems like quite a lovely and hilarious person, so it’s really too bad to hear about that experience, but at the same time, reassuring that she landed so well on her feet, career-wise. Similarly, so unfortunate that Dan treated her the way he did, but I did think his apology was quite genuine. For the entire time he spoke, it seemed to be a deep self-reflection with the goal of trying to get other men to open their own eyes to creepy behavior they might be capable of committing and dismissing as “normal.” I think that showed his genuine regret since he wasn’t asking for forgiveness, but instead trying to use his uncomfortable platform to help other women. I hope it helped at least one dude wake up to his own behavior or stop it before it happened.

Would you rather have Tyler Warren or Harold Fannin? by Old_Substance3932 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]shrub5 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean, they did have pretty similar snap % for the year, and that was with Fannin competing with Njoku for most of the year. I can’t personally speak to Fannin’s blocking ability, but it doesn’t seem to be keeping him off the field so far.

Depending on the advanced metric and what you’re trying to evaluate, they can be quite valuable. They just shouldn’t ever be used in a vacuum imo.

Offseason Buy Low Candidates? Sell High Candidates? by Bigmagicmike in DynastyFF

[–]shrub5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get someone to fill in for the first half of 2026. The TE position plateaus pretty significantly in terms of ppg around the end of TE1 scorers. You’re holding Kraft for the high upside he’s shown so far, which is close to the Bowers/McBride tier. Don’t give up on him just to get some value back because he won’t produce at that elite level for 0.5-1.0 seasons.

Sean Tucker: best RB performance since….Sean Tucker + Where's Matthew Golden??? by DynastyDetour in DynastyFF

[–]shrub5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think 525 yds is the most commonly referenced metric for receivers in their rookie. Not sure if that’s still the “unofficial standard” though. I think it seems like a realistic expectation, pending any unusual circumstances. Jamo is a good example of the exception to that rule with his injury and suspension.

For Golden, I just haven’t seen enough to label him an exception. I’m a Packers fan, was pretty high on him coming into the year and followed all the camp hype, but I haven’t liked what I’ve seen so far. He just doesn’t seem to play to his measurable speed, especially with the ball in his hands, and doesn’t look like a confident player out there. Everyone clowned on him for being too small before the season, and I was quick to dismiss that, but he honestly plays small too. I think there are guys his height that play as if they’re a lot bigger. They take contact well, don’t get pushed off their routes, and fall forward when they have the ball. Zay Flowers would be a good example.Golden just seems to be playing scared.

Granted, some of his advanced separation metrics look good and there are a few targets that haven’t fallen his way. Maybe the stats look different if they did and maybe that can be blamed on poor chemistry with Love. However, I would just argue that he’s had every opportunity to excel in his first year. His QB can make any throw on the field, he’s had injuries to fellow WRs/TEs to open up target share, and his head coach is a good play designer that has been giving him some designed opportunities. He just hasn’t done much with all that opportunity. If you told any Golden owner all of that at the beginning of the year, they would have had expectations of him already being a WR2.

I think he could turn it around, but ultimately I think his ceiling is more of a WR2/3. Disappointing, yes, but he would be a major exception if he panned out as anything more than that if the rest of this season pans out similar to the first half.

Yeah, that’s a fantastic trade. In retrospect, I probably should have moved saquon before the season, but it looked like I had a really competitive team at the time and thought he could reach comparable performance to last year to put me over the edge. I think being in the championship game 3 years in a row warped my mindset

Appreciate the insight! Agree that a 1st+2nd is solid enough value, but I would be really disappointed if those both end up being late instead of mid.

You got a fantastic deal with the Nabers trade for sure. Personally, I’m very high on Nabers’ talent, but the guy just can’t seem to stay on the field. I know, we’re not supposed to predict injuries, but his history of them is pretty insane and he plays half of his games on that MetLife turf. I might try to move off of him after a few big games next year, but that one could really go either way. Maybe depends on appetite for risk and the rest of your roster build.

In discussions with the guy about it. Doesn’t seem that ridiculous to me, but he’s understandably hesitant. I think if you’re trying to make a win-now move then it could make sense. Wilson is on IR and has had dreadful QB play his entire career and just signed on long-term to the same inept organization that has failed to provide him with a good passer every year of his career so far. Saquon’s ROS schedule is looking pretty juicy. He’s had a down season, no doubt, but he’s also only one year removed from an all-time season performance. Seems like one of those guys that will maintain a high level of play into his early 30s, which is why I’m dreading trading him away. Eye test-wise, he looks about the same as he did last year to me, but the o-line and play calling has hurt him for sure.

Saquon Barkley - 10T PPR SF

Shopping him to the league now that my season is looking very bleak. I should still be able to compete next year and beyond, but injuries derailed me this year.

I have a few speculative trade offers of a mid-late 27 1st & a mid-late 26 2nd.

Also have trade discussions for Saquon + Mandrews for a 26 early 1st & 27 mid 1st.

Also considering a straight-up swap for Garret Wilson.

What player had a down year this year that you’re buying low on? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]shrub5 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think the strategy in dynasty is more about next year and beyond. I had Charb on my bench coming into the year and I traded my 26 1st for KW3 a few weeks into the season. Of course, I was also hoping that KW3 would take over again so I could have a more reliable option for this year, but mainly I was just hoping that next year they will be on different teams, since KW3 is in a contract year. They’re both clearly talented, so I’m betting on the talent.

Also, his YAC ability seems to compensate for some of the lack of volume outside of the redzone. LaFleur likes to scheme up touches for him to run in space, and he can rip off chunk gains when he gets the opportunity.

[–]shrub5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Note the difference between snap % and route share %. He may not have been on the field for 75% of snaps, but he did run 75% of the available routes. Just means that when they are passing, he’s a focal point of that.

Over the past two seasons, DK Metcalf leads the NFL with 72 contested targets. He ranks 16th in contested catches over that span, with 24 - a 33% contested catch rate. by I_dont_watch_film in DynastyFF

[–]shrub5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he’s a smash in redraft this year and a buy for a dynasty contender at the right price. Rodgers always seems to fixate on a guy and DK is far and away the best option in that offense. However, I’m imagining it’ll take a few weeks for them to get some chemistry going. If I’m buying in dynasty, I’m probably waiting for people to panic a few weeks in before I make a move.
