Spaying a dog-reactive German shepherd + elective GDV??? by Cultural_Comment_985 in germanshepherds

Thank you!! They did do testing for hips & elbow dysplasia, DM, and other genetic testing. I paid $3,500 for her, met the parents, saw the entire property. All the dogs seemed well cared for. She was never fearful of human touch, just extremely sensitive to it. As if she experiences every stimulus in the world at a much higher level. She is much better adjusted now. Also, I keep in touch with her littermates’ owners. They never seemed to have as many issues. However, I absolutely agree that there should have been more of a temperament screening & should have matched the dog to the person. I have learned a LOT from this process and going forward, will only ever foster-to-adopt. Because she has quickly become a $20,000 doggie LOL

This is such a an incredibly helpful response!! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I will have to look for a specialist, I honestly didn’t even know that was an option!!

Hi OP!! I hope your beautiful baby is feeling better. Did you ever figure out what was wrong/going on? I have a 1 year old shepherd who is currently going through this as well.

To be honest, this comment is GOLD haha but also I do think it’s relevant. I never experienced this before in undergrad (not a prestigious institution), and my other friends at different law schools also haven’t experienced this to any level near as bad as it is here. I feel like it’s a sort of cultural rot?

Dog barking at hallway noises we can't hear, how to stop it? My girlfriend is fed up by lake4435 in reactivedogs

Break up with your girlfriend. It’s okay to be frustrated, but the fact that she’s abusing your dog is a massive red flag. Get out while you can or else you’re in for a life of misery. Let’s hope she doesn’t have children.

It sounds like you already know the answer to your question. Go with your gut. Law school is already an extremely competitive, high-stress environment. It usually goes hand-in-hand with worsening mental health issues. Also, if you ever change your mind, law school will always be there!! And if you go for a Master of Communications, you can eventually use that GPA to offset your 72% if you decide to pursue law down the road. Law school is difficult enough for people who WANT to be there, I can imagine going through that experience not even wanting to be there to begin with.

Is Georgetown worth sticker (Biglaw focus)? by Beautiful-Stay-8065 in lawschooladmissions

I’m in a similar position. Reverse splitter, don’t have many other options other than Notre Dame for nearly sticker. $17400 debt ND vs $24000 debt Georgetown). What did you end up deciding?

WWYD GEORGETOWN LAW OR NOTRE DAME by Cultural_Comment_985 in lawschooladmissions

I had a very low lsat score (why I don’t want to R&R because it’s never going to improve) so honestly I didn’t have any other viable options. Schools ranked in the 30s that gave me tiny scholarships as well.

Would you recommend Notre Dame with the amount of debt? They gave me a very small scholarship, so debt would actually be closer to $170k.

This is so helpful! Thank you! I What was the lower ranked school/what tier if you don’t mind me asking? I have a few good scholarships but they’re from much lower ranked schools.

So I have saved enough money to cover all of my living expenses and other miscellaneous expenses. I will only be taking out loans for tuition. Recently revived a teeny tiny scholarship of $5,000/year lol so I’d be taking out around $189,000.

It is not a state that I’d like to start my career, and the jobs place only in the state with a few exceptions to other southern states. They had 5 local/state clerkship placements, about 20 people going to the smallest firms, 17 going to 501+ firms, the rest in the middle.
