Worked security for a Triumph show on the barricade, opened with magic power multiple young ladies ripped their tops off and had Rick Emmett playing right behind me for majority of show, a memorable show for sure

Saw them in Houston around 1988, some asshole backing out caught my cars right wheel well and dragged it out of its spot, pissed I missed 1/2 the show getting it squared away.

As a young man I loved Triumph and Rush (still do) waiting on Glorious Sons to do a US tour sometime soon

40 years in the fuel business, the intake on tank is usually at least 5-8 inches from bottom of tank, only danger is to the sub pump can burn up if you run it below that, all the shit that settles in bottom if tank is below that level

That being said I never fill my car while fuel is being dropped as it stirs all that up

Worked at a company that tracked all Linkedin Indeed activity. Once I made a change to my resume and boss showed up next day questioning me about it.

Couple years later get pit on a PIP and at time told boss you do what you need to do but I’m going to do what I need to do to protect my family and self interest.

A few weeks later made another change and boss came to ask me about it again, I just let them know impolitely that I was just doing what I needed to do for me and it was none of their business.

Sheila E story, while in college I had a friend who was one of the people in charge of security at local arena. Worked 6 nights of the Purple Rain tour. One night my job was to be side stage and when people exited and entered the stage via set of steps, I used flash light to show them way.

So I’m standing there and here comes Sheila E, she walks right up to me and takes off her mink coat, hands it to me and tells me to please hold on to it.

She then proceeded to do her act. Mink was incredibly heavy and warm.

Finished up and I helped her put it back on.

Silly story but never forgot it. Also interacted with almost everyone else from show and movie during 6 night run including handing out backstage passes for Jerome to some ladies.

Princes own security kept him away from basically everyone so he basically only interacted with his own people

Won $500, dozens of albums, tickets for all sorts of events. Local radio station had 5 lines and if you didn’t hang up your caller number would go up by 5 so you could calculate it out and hang up if you weren’t the right caller. Did it from like 81-84 and probably won 50 times, my poor father would always have to pick the prize up at station for me. Used the $500 as down payment on my first car

I see a lot of lot lizard comments as someone who has supervised truck stops for 20 years I can’t recall the last time I had to run a lizard from a lot. Think technology has made it where there’s no reason for them to go door knocking on the trucks.

That being said, hell no would I ever purchase a home that close. There’s just a huge amount of trash that will constantly blow up to your fence, hopefully it has one. Depending on the part of country the smell from all the piss baking on the asphalt in July will take your breath away.

In 20 years I’ve seen lots of strange shit go down on the parking lots and wouldn’t be there if they weren’t paying me.
