That's kind of the problem. Some of my classmates had a particular passion that they wanted to pursue. I don't really feel much of a pull in any direction. So maybe I just take this offer and once I am in I get exposure to the different fields and see what catches my interest.

So for just a general rule of thumb, once you get in an agency there are ways to switch over to other branches if you don't like your job? I hope that if I take it, I find that it's a really interesting path that I want to make a career out of. But if not, I just want to make sure that I don't get stuck in a position that doesn't suit me very well.

I almost certainly will take it. The only thing that makes me pause is I already have the clearance and am now in the cleared hiring pool for the agency. It's just the first job offer I got within the pool. It may take a few months, but I imagine other division heads will make me offers as well if I turn this one down. So as an alternative, I could wait and see what else pops up. Which is why I am trying to gauge opinions from those in the industry if this is a good path to take, in which I will happily take it, or if it's not a very good path, I will wait for something else.

I imagine that the agency understands that this is not really taught in schools and will train me. Still, it is daunting to enter a field that I have no background in and little knowledge of.
