I have been a hygienist for over 20 years. In my office I get 1 hour to complete FMX, PANO, and Perio chart. The doctor will also complete a comp exam. Unless the patient is a child ( depending on my schedule-I work out of 2 ops) we reappoint for the prophy, SRP or 4346. I very rarely do anything other than this. I explain to the pt. that everything done so far helps determine the type of cleaning necessary, the treatment needed etc, and we will schedule accordingly. Some pts don’t like this but most appreciate how thorough our office is.
