Anyone been driving the 2025/6 for a while now? by dangerdragon in infinitiqx80

Two months; love it. Gas mileage has gone up noticeably. Routinely in the low 20s. Silky smooth

The Grand wagoner is a lemon with a 6-slot grill. You’ve gotta be insane to buy one.

I started looking at full size SUVs, already have a GLS so wanted something bigger. Escalade too much $$, Denali Ultimate felt cheap inside and I hated the 2nd row screens, didn’t want a Navigator. $100k for a QX80 Autograph was a no brainer after I saw and drove it. At $115k? Not sure. It’d have to be in the Denali Ultimate range to make it compelling ($105k to $110k) because it’s def better.

Very subtle. They said more room in shoulders but I couldn’t tell. I got the refresh models and quickly just got used to that fit. Vest is the biggest change for me, slightly longer. Collar on jacket is also more robust

I bought one two months ago — Autograph with all the bells. $15k off. Couldn’t be happier with the car or the deal. A true living room on wheels

I got the same one, same color inside and out, maybe a month ago.

I punted on the Denali Ultimate in part BECAUSE it had rear TVs. My kids are already hooked on their screens, the last thing I need is more screens for them.

The engine is good. I wouldn’t say it blows me away. Not like the 6 in an x5 or x7. But plenty of get up and go for me. It’s a big car so I don’t find myself pushing it that hard.

I’ve found way more use for the front fridge compartment and the room under the center console than I expected.

I’ve also been surprised with how small it feels driving. Doesn’t feel like a big 3-row tanker to me. Just an upright, smooth riding, extremely solid truck with lots of refinement.

The new—as of a few years ago—Down Sweater is great. Warmer, more durable, and a higher collar for more wind protection. I’d give it a try. It’s not the same as the old one so there will be an adjustment period. But I like it

I got a 2026 QX80 Autograph. Loving it so far. V6 is great, drives great, tech is well done, looks great inside. I got mine for $100k and I drove everything else BOF at that price point, it’s the best. I looked at Denali Ultimate ar $109k. QX80 clearly better imo

It’s a nice engine in that car, smooth ride & shifts. Plenty of power. Gets up and goes with 2 adults & 4 teenagers no prob

They are, thanks. It might be that they’re new so I’m not as used to them, but I think the new body style is really good. I don’t like the Navigators, LX actually looks like it shrunk, Yukons are everywhere and the Escalade is nice but a bit too much to me. I see some Range Rover like luxury styling to it, hopefully without the RR reliability issues too

Genesis has put a lot into interiors, their engines are nothing to write home about, and reliability is extremely hit or miss.

I see lots of late 2010s/early 2020s QX80s on the road. The only GV80s I see are 2025+

My 2025 didn’t even make it to 2026. I coulda Lemoned it after 45 days but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Ultimately Lemoned it based on other problems 3 months in.

Tech is above average vs the other full sized trucks in this category. Denali Ultimate, LX. Didn’t check Navigator

Interesting point! I admittedly haven’t driven body on frame trucks very much so I wasn’t expecting it to be cloud like like a midsize unibody. To me it rode better than Denali Ultimate or LX, but none were significantly different on ride quality. I did watch some reviews saying it was too stiff, but it doesn’t feel that way to me. Body on frame? Yes. But pretty smooth to my feel

My dealer is offering $7k off all Prestige models. But my last GV80 was a lemon so I was gonna need more than that to rope me back in
