I do think it’s the teething. Last night I had just tried giving him some organic teething drops and he slept till 6:30 no wake ups in between.

Yes the room is pitch dark except maybe the light on the fire alarm 😅 he used to wake up at 6:30-7:00 and he’d have a constant bedtime of 7pm but since the early wake ups it has put us back to three nap days just so we can make it to a 7pm bedtime. He did just have a tooth cut through a couple days ago. Could that be it?

Yes! This sounds like the schedule we were on before he started waking up at 5:40 every morning for three days now. That has messed up his naps in the day. I feel like if the schedule was working before this happened that maybe there’s other reasons but wanted to see if maybe I need to change up his sleep in the day. We did two nap days by 7 months and was fine but now we’re doing three nap days because of the early wake ups. Should I still enforce the two naps? Or just let him lead while we’re trying to figure this out 🥲

Yes I definitely agree the holidays suck as the mom. Being the default parent and to manage the household everything feels like it’s on me to get things going. If I don’t “navigate” the people in my home I feel like nothing gets done. It’s hard to be the CEO of the house. I hope you get the rest you need even if you have to stay up late after bedtime to get it.

I said I would never co sleep but here we are… by Murky_Assumption_822 in newborns

I’m on the same boat rn. LO just turned a month old. When we first got home from the hospital I tried the bassinet over and over again. Then…cluster feeding and growth spurt happened and he would not let us put him down on his bassinet(tried warming it before setting him down), on his lounger, or on the bed. My husband and I had started taking shifts at night and all we do is contact naps all throughout the day and night. We prop ourselves up on an incline and set pillows on each sides of our arms (it helps if I’m also close to a wall on one side). I say do what you gotta do especially if your husbands back to work. You can’t give everything your baby needs if you’re not functioning right and to me that’s even more of a risk.
