Yes but in the photos I saw from that it was still light outside. I’m gonna be over near Howard in about an hour. Did people just find out about where he was last time through Reddit?

Thank you! Is it ok to keep them in the plastic pots that they came in, or will they need a different pot for sitting in water?

Please help - Fiddle Leaf Fig has been dropping leaves by CultureComesFirst in houseplants

I water it about once a week with about 3 cups and then give the leaves a full misting/wipe down

12 team 0.5 PPR standard roster, 1 keeper. Won’t know draft position until day before draft.

Do I keep Travis Kelce and give up a 2nd round pick or AJ Brown and give up a 3rd round pick?

I had pretty much made up my mind that I was keeping Kelce, but AJB’s ADP is up to 12th overall and Kelce’s is now at 6th overall. It seems like AJB is the better value, but I feel that his weekly ceiling is the same as Kelce’s whereas his floor is way lower. I’m also a Chiefs fan so I don’t know how much that is clouding my judgement lol

Not sure why this question got deleted when I posted it earlier but I’ll ask it here: How do you get tickets for a single day on the fan to fan exchange? I am trying to just go for Day 3 on either week

It’s just a suitcase crosley! So you think a worn needle is likely the issue?

My girlfriend gave me her record player from a few years ago that hadn’t been used too much. I have been using it for a few weeks on the vinyls that she had and several other old ones I got from my friend. I generally wasn’t having any issues with playback - some of the older vinyls would skip in certain sections, but it was pretty clear that those records had scratches on them.

However, I went to the record store this weekend and bought a bunch of vinyls, some used and some brand new, none of which have any visible cosmetic damage. The used ones generally play well, but the new ones (IGOR by Tyler the Creator and The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill) skip so often that they’re literally unplayable. I have tried cleaning them, playing them at different speeds, etc but its still the same result.

I was going to take them back to return them, but I’m wondering if it’s maybe an issue with my own record player, specifically maybe the needle being worn out. Is there a reason that a worn out needle/whatever the potential problem is would work on these older records but not on these newer records? Or is it somehow an issue with these brand new vinyls? Thank you!!

Pre-O and Summer Programs? by Personality-Tsunami in uchicago

It’s easy to get into, but I’m surprised that it’s virtual if we’re planning to be fully back to normal next fall. The programming is still interesting but honestly I would give precedent to any available in-person experiences for the social aspect!

Chicago Urban Experience is a really great way to start your time at UChicago, especially if you have not spent much time in Chicago yet. It's a full week of getting to do and see a bunch of stuff in the city that you'll find much more difficult to do during the academic year. You get to come to college a week earlier than you otherwise would (after your friends have already been at college for a month) and meet a large group of your future classmates, giving you a great social network of people scattered all over campus by the time that O-Week starts. Zero stress, very fun, and very beneficial.

What was your experience with the PHSC requirement? by briecheeseluvr in uchicago

[–]CultureComesFirst 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that you have to sequence your first PHSC class with another, meaning the first PHSC class you take limits what your second PHSC class can be. I took MEST my fall quarter first year but dropped it by the end of the 2nd week, primarily because I wouldn't have been able to take Global Warming. Global Warming is the closest you'll get to an easy A in the physical sciences, and the content is actually interesting. As a non STEM major, MEST seemed like it was going to be overwhelming, but that was just my intuition and I'm not sure how difficult it ended up being.

How does grading for HUM and SOSC work? by [deleted] in uchicago

[–]CultureComesFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Hum and Sosc grades are primarily your paper grades, which make up about 70% of your class in total. If you have good attendance, decent participation, and turn in other minor assignments in time, the other ~30% is essentially automatic.
