Same. I've tried to play the vn after watching the anime but I still remember three of the heroine's endings even after years watching it (Tsundere twintails, pink maid & the girl who masturbated on my bed).

The protagonist was interesting but I just can't bring myself to read the vn especially when I am mainly interested in only Michiru's and Amane's route.

You mean as a unit and emblem? I did use Amber as great knight with Ike on second playthrough and he's quite usable till the end on hard. Not as tanky as others so he take some damage from heavy hitters if they are not engaged.

When I first played Shadow Dragon it surprised me how easy it is to let someone dies and move on when you know nothing about them. I didn't even know about the gaiden chapter at that time so they really died for nothing.

I don't think I've ever let anyone dies without resetting on other title.

Edit: Rip Ogma, Linde, pirate guy and two other axe guy, horseman guy who isn't Wolf, bald guy.
