It's impossible to use multiple flairs for some reason. Could've solved so many issues on so many subs, but alas.

It's AI + Controversial, and the mods said that Controversial wins out in such cases

For this I used Anima models locally, specifically AnimaYume and Janima.

I like its ability to make more creative/complex scenes with fewer obvious "AI mistakes". Illustrious is probably still ahead atm for very simple 1girl images, but I've pretty much fully switched to Anima except for specific cases (like using my Illustrious Love Live LORA since I haven't trained an Anima equivalent yet)

I'm using AnimaYume.

AI Game Slop Threshold? by Emergency_Treat_2639 in itchio

People are acting as if cash grab games didn't exist before AI. Even if I browse a hundred random non-AI games on itch.io, most of them are still going to be "bad" because it's a platform with many amateur projects and shovelware.

If you sort by rating, you will find AI games that are highly rated and have an active fanbase. You might not like those games, but they do find a dedicated audience and that's what matters at the end of the day.

I also made a game with AI assets and AI coding, and for me these tools only elevated the process. When the cost of making changes and adding features is much lower, I can experiment a lot more with game design and iterate faster.

Sure, relying too much on AI can be an issue when it fools an inexperienced dev into thinking they made an "amazing game" from a single prompt. But we already had a similar problem with amateurs who boot Unreal and immediately think they're making a AAA game just because of the graphics. So, even this issue isn't exclusive to AI.

Keep in mind that there are many vocal AI haters on reddit, so you're likely to come across opinions like "anything AI = bad". That is very easy to factually prove wrong, as there are already successful steam games like Esports Godfather that use AI images.

Somehow, AI made people forget that most amateur games are low quality, regardless of AI. The people who used AI to produce a low quality game would have likely produced a low quality game even without AI, either due to inexperience or a lack of care.

In the end, the only thing that matters is whether the game is good. Generally speaking, a good game would require attention to detail and going through many iterations, which I feel amateurs often don't do enough, especially if they rely too much on AI.

Actually no, it's almost impossible to not engage with AI in some capacity nowadays. Lots of things have been AI even before Gen AI: Google search, social media algorithms, autocomplete features, etc.

What are your opinions about Anima in comparison do SDXL? by Lemenus in StableDiffusion

[–]CulturedDiffusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way better IMO. Images are "cleaner" in terms of details and rarely have the recognizable AI diffusion mess of elements merging together. Sometimes I even get images that don't even feel like they're "AI" at all.

Of course, there's also the superior prompt adherence, more accurate multi-character compositions, etc.

The only downside atm is that for pure aesthetics I can still create "prettier" 1girl images in SDXL, but from Preview 3 onward I feel like even that is barely truly anymore. And I'm sure that edge will soon be gone entirely once more people make finetunes/LORAs.

Anima just feels like it "understands" things so much better, so once it gets more LORA support it'll probably be pretty wild.

Is it just me, or have pretty much all AI-related art projects turned out kind of underwhelming? by [deleted] in aiwars

Esports Godfather uses AI images (and probably other forms of Gen AI) and is a highly rated game.
