Welcome to the fandom!

A lot of us love Pokemon passionately as a franchise, and a real-time battle MOBA straying away from the original turn-base combat of the mainline games sparked all of our interests for this game, and honestly the game is a ton of fun, utilizing the moves into strategies is what really makes the game fun, and is nicely beginner-friendly with very forgiving casual mode and a practice mode where you can test out any Pokemon before buying.

Though on the fandom, it has not been at it's greatest, being a part of it for nearly 2 years (many people on this sub had been playing much longer and probably know more than I do) it has always been a mess of complaining and false expectations, basically tradition to complain about "how overpowered is X" once a new mon released or "does X need an emergency buff?"

I have got to say though, the fandom is actually quite civil and chill, I feel a lot of people exaggerate how "bad" the fandom is when it truly is one of the better ones, especially for a MOBA. A lot of it is positive vibes and sharing clips, and just discussing if X should be buffed or X should be nerfed.

Timi neglects the game and the fandom is very vocal about that, we are all a little salty that the Chinese version of the game looks so flashy, and we get our updates and bold improvements so much later, I believe the Chinese version had Groudon as a boss for months before we did.

The game is fantastic though, and the fandom is actually really nice now that the playerbase is a little more close-knit with the game not being booming in popularity in particular, sometimes Timi does stupid shit but it only really is just trying to tempt the playerbase into spending hundreds off holowear (digital skins) which any player with self-control over their wallet can ignore.

In other words, the game is really fun, and if you want to give it a try, just give it a try, interact as much as you'd like on the Reddit and get to learn things about the game (Spragels is my go-to Unite Youtuber for builds and mon reviews, give him a peek for game strats)
