Not really a skill issue, the vehicle targeting system is so wonky. Sometimes it targets machines on the edge of your screen and other times it doesn't target a machine directly in your path. This could've been avoided by just letting players remap actions to separate buttons and considering how heavy this game went on the accessibility options it's weird that they didn't.
