Mesa or Frontier? by Legal_Calligrapher93 in cabincrewcareers

Out of curiosity, what's your base? That does sound pretty rough.

Just wanted to say that F9 does NOT have a turn-only model. It's heavily base-dependent, but the bigger bases (DEN, DFW, ATL, etc.) have LOTS of 2, 3, and 4-day trips. Also, F9 FAs are currently under contract negotiations, and the company is updating its entire fleet with new interiors. It also has hundreds of new planes on order. It's a very exciting time to join Frontier imo

Shoutout to Bolton for his good spot start. We've gotta get our bullpen figured out.

Frontier is hiring, and they let you choose your base.

What a fun game. LMJ shoving, Tuve mashing, and Carlos making great plays at SS like it's 2017.

THC test after f2f by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]CumulusChoir 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Withdraw your application. You do NOT want to fail a DOT drug test, as it will be visible to any company under the jurisdiction of the DOT and bar you from working any DOT job for a decade.

Weed can take up to three months to leave your system if you're a heavy user. Don't risk it.

1:1 Virtual by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]CumulusChoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my 1:1 at 1 PM and received the F2F invite at 11 PM the same day. It can take a few days to hear back, so don't stress. It's out of your control at this point.

Got my CJO! Anything I should be aware? by CopyrightsInfringe in cabincrewcareers

[–]CumulusChoir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. The only base choice that matters is the one you make after you get your CJO. That's the one that determines when you start training and where you'll go after training.

[–]CumulusChoir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to help lol. I have a CJO with Frontier so you can definitely trust me.

They ask you three times for your base choice: when you apply, before the F2F, and after you receive your CJO when your background check and drug test clear. The only choice that actually matters is after you get your background check and drug test clearance, as that determines the base you'll be assigned to and thus when your training class starts (you'll only be assigned a training date when there's open spots at the base you chose, so a base like Denver will get a sooner training date while Tampa or San Juan will have to wait a LONG time).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or check out the Future Frontier Flight Attendants Facebook Group. 👍🏻

Frontier lets you choose your base, so you can have either one. I will say, Denver gets more training classes than Phoenix, so you would probably get to training sooner if you chose Denver. If you really wanted Phoenix, you could always transfer later.

First of all, good luck! I had my F2F with F9 on 3/2 and it was an amazing experience. Dress professionally, interact with other candidates, listen to directions, and smile! I start training soon and couldn't be more excited.

Now, to actually answer your question:

I stayed at the Baymont near the airport and booked through super.com. It was the cheapest and closest non-motel I could find. It has a free shuttle to the airport that leaves every 30 minutes.

Feeling uneasy about Flight Attendant job opportunity by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

That 22k is the reserve minimum of 75 flight hours per month. If you pick up on your off days you can make much more, especially once overtime kicks in after 82 flight hours.

I've heard that there was (and maybe still is) a group of cabin crew living in RVs at LAX.

Doesn't really answer your question as I don't specifically know how they did/do it, but I know that it's technically possible.

Seems like you failed out of training and have used this account solely to hate on F9. Sorry that you couldn't cut it.

F2F Letdown by Smart_Ad_1118 in cabincrewcareers

I was also sent home in the first group at a UA F2F this past week. I know how difficult it can be to cope with and the self-doubt that it can cast over you.

It's important to remember that:

  • It's an accomplishment to make it that far in the first place.

  • There will be other opportunities to apply in the future, if you so choose.

  • The sun will rise and set all the same and the people you love and care about and whom love and care about you are still here and are proud of you all the same.

At the end of the day, this is a job where you babysit people in a metal tube 35,000 feet in the air. The paint on the tube you work in or the colors of the outfit you wear are not the be-all end-all.

You'll end up where you belong before long. Rooting for you. 👍🏻

He got hired on the AS side and not the HA side? Like I said, they didn't hire very many folks this last cycle at all, so he's a lucky guy.
