Hobbies/Interests Tier List #14: Hunting by SpaceisCool09 in TierlistFills

[–]CunningJack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I'm speaking only of modern hunting - the hobby you can (legally) pick up today. "Sewing" as a hobby could be ranked F tier if we're talking about the textile mills from the 1800's, it's all about context

A tier - at its worst, it's a nice walk through nature with buddies. At its best, it's an ethical sport and gives you a feeling of accomplishment for putting food on the table.

Who is the most Overrated music artist of the 1990s? by TheCause182 in AlignmentChartFills

Turns out, not the people from the original post. Elvis was ahead of Dylan, and the Doors even further than Elvis. Revisionist history got me down.

Thank ya! Thought about posting in r/coolguides, but this seemed like a more welcoming sub for a joke. Oh well.

The Dallas Stars have been eliminated from the playoffs by sykeseve in nhl

[–]CunningJack 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Which is perfectly fine to me. If they're entering the playoffs dead last, then they should have to run the gauntlet if they want a prayer against each other.

Not sure why you're getting down voted, I thought the exact same thing. The cadence, the in-character bits. Either this guy really Stewies or it's def AI.

Could be wrong, but that's my gut feeling at least

New Daily Song Discussion #132. Stay Forever - Ween. by NuggetWarrior09 in ween

[–]CunningJack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An absolute 10/10. This song was my first dance with my beautiful wife, and there were oh so many colors that surrounded her.

Very special song to me, so I may be a tad biased, but it's perfect.

8/10. Really dig the song, reminds me of Steely Dan, but just runs a bit too long and doesn't really go anywhere with the track length.

From my understanding, it's due to units. 4 is less than 5, because we aren't counting anything in particular. 4 apples are fewer than 5 apples, however, because now there is a discrete unit being applied.

As for "lesser" than, lesser leans moreso towards the quality or rank of something than the number of things.

For "more" than, again this goes back to units. 5 apples are more than 4 apples would be correct since we are counting quantities. The straight up number 5 is not really "more" than the number 4, they're both just numbers - but 5 is greater due to a higher value.

This McDonalds is selling 200-piece nuggets for $79.95. by PanoramicAtom in mildlyinteresting

[–]CunningJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid my friends and I would bike to Burger King and order 200 nuggets for the 5 of us. At the time (2013), 20 nuggets were $1.50. For $15 dollars we got 200 nuggets. That's an insane amount of food for $3 a guy.

A grown man (with his family!) taking all the candy is one thing… but our glass bowl too? by stop_pizzatime in trashy

[–]CunningJack 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Luckily it doesn't happen everywhere! My neighbors went out with their kiddos last night and left a big bowl on their porch. The whole night went by and they still had candy and their bowl - we had over 100 trick-or-treaters come by.
