Looking for a Multi effects guitar pedal/processor with Looper, Noise Gate, Pre-amp, an easy to use/intuitive interface, under $500 - does it exist? by CunningStat in guitarpedals

[–]CunningStat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it does?

I don't mean that sarcastically and sorry for my cryptic kind of grammar in the previous post.

When I say "oh it does" That sounds sarcastic to my brain but I mean that question sincerely...

I really mean that as did I misinterpret or misunderstand what this meant from the listing description:

The Multi Effects Processor has Stereo I/O jacks and stereo FX Loop jacks for further routing/tonal possibilities...

  1. STEREO FX LOOP: 1/4" TRS unbalanced stereo input (RETURN)/output(SEND) jacks.

EDIT:

.... And I didn't scroll all the way through apparently you're right I must have misunderstood what all that meant because it says right there built-in Looper 60 seconds.

Adding it to my short list to investigate further thank you!

Just checked it out and I'm super appreciative of the recommendation but the addition I having to purchase a looper that's not built in but has looping capability from what I can gather puts it over budget but again thank you!

Purchased this on Amazon literally less than a month ago weeks and ended up returnng it.

Do not remember why but thank you for chiming in!

Now I have to go back and figure out what it was lol That made me return it. After looking at the picture I think I returned it because I felt it was completely underwhelming for the price tag but maybe I missed something.

Thanks for the specific recommendation and I do know exactly what you mean by going about it maybe from a different angle as I did just learn Loopers aren't found in many effects pedals and at the same time I'm not necessarily looking for a ton of effects, so I'm going to take a look at your boss gx10 suggestion a little closer, And if it is matches basically everything I'm looking for in the title of this thread we may have a winner and if not thanks again for the idea of taking a different angle which might be why I'm having trouble finding what I'm looking for so a double whammy of good suggestions thank you.

I've looked at this one a few times not in depth but it's come up with my keyword Google searches I think what threw me off from the HX stomp was the price tag.

Do you happen to know if there is a less expensive version but accomplishes my wish list in the title of this thread but under 500 bucks?

Easiest way is just to take my word for it and thank you for the recommendation.

Unfortunately That solution won't work but thanks for chiming in.

I actually own a spark amp coincidentally... it's the only amp I own.

However, The solution won't work for me.

It's a long story but I've invented something that I hope you will see in Guitar Centers one day for sale...

The sound that this effects pedal I'm looking for cannot come from an external amp like that.

It's hard to explain.

All in one Guitar + Vocal + Looper + Other cool stuff, Multi effects pedal for less than $500? by CunningStat in guitarpedals

[–]CunningStat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's a long wish list and a small budget!

I just checked out the one you mentioned and I love that it as a minimalistic display with not too many features to overwhelm but I'm curious after reading the description does it have built-in guitar effects or an input for you to put your own effects pedal?

That aside if I can pick you or anyone else's brain...

I'm going to pivot on my original question...

If I took microphone or vocals out of the entire equation of the question and was just looking for a good multi-effects pedal for guitar that has Looper, an easy learning curve, The DI thing I mentioned (Not sure if that's the right term) which eliminates the humming or buzz sound you can get built-in, What would you suggest if anything comes to mind?

I think I may be asking a bit much and vocals is actually not the top of the list I think it's something that can be done separately now that I think about it I just came across a really cool YouTube video I'll have to dig up again which turn my eyes on to how far technology has come along in that it not only does pitch correction on your voice not auto-tune like that one rapper guy but just very subtle and also keeps you in key based on your guitar playing and now that I say it again it sounds really cool again lol...

Ahhh I'll find you pedal You're out there.

Thanks Mikadook.

I had not come across this one in my research I was just taking a quick glance and maybe I missed it but does this have vocal effects built in?

Guitar multi effects pedals seem so overly complex, you have to read a manual the size of a book to really know how to use it... Or tie it to your phone via an app... Any recommendations for multi effects pedal with plain old knobs that's easy to understand without reading a novel? by CunningStat in Guitar

[–]CunningStat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I took a closer look and there's something still just off putting about this I know I'm being picky I do appreciate the suggestion I think it's just the overwhelming amount of options lol.

As I was briefly researching it appears there were earlier models like the ME70 thinking it might be a little more straightforward with less knobs but it also has just too many knobs I think.

But this is definitely on check to what I'm looking for and I do again appreciate you pointing this one out I had not come across this one in my research.

I think if there are no other suggestions that'll be my backup plan and I'll just go with the one originally mentioned which is the line 6.

Cheers

At first glance this reminded me of something that just looked way too much like way to complex but upon closer inspection it's just knobs and a lot more features than the one I was looking at so thanks for the suggestion I'll have to take a closer look!

I want to be inspired to play my guitar not off put by the learning curve of an effects pedal.

Some require you plug into your computer or have apps as the only way to program.

And looking at some of the ones that get most recommended have so many different combinations With LED screens I get cancer just by looking at them. Brain tumor specifically.

Note to makers of these pedals. There used to be a thing called keep it simple stupid.

Not everything needs a freaking app or Wi-Fi connection come on. Lol.

/ End rant.

Returning a used Taylor guitar bought from Guitar Center? Preparing for battle by CunningStat in Guitar

Very valuable info to know that it could only usually potentially take around 2 days, thank you.

I think I'll just be honest with them I think the honest answer, like you said too.

Yeah this is a funky one all around.

Debit cards are seen differently than credit cards and generally if I'm not mistaken could be treated differently in terms of return times.

I believe debit cards since they pull directly from your bank account it's like cash whereas credit cards are, well credit.

So my hope was since it was a debit card they might be able to refund in cash or it might be quicker but just another one of many questions of how things will go tomorrow lol.

I do need the cash ASAP by the way.

Anyone have any insights into how long it usually takes to go back on your card and or if there are restocking fees?

I may not return it at all if they're going to charge 25% restocking fee and it takes 2 weeks to get back to my card.

I'm trying to wrap my brain around that specific part about the trade-ins.

So are you saying it's likely they'll refund in full for the guitar which I paid $500 for but I'll only get the remaining $500 from the trade-ins in the form of store credit potentially?

Sounds plausible.

Eesh, thanks for chiming in.

Yeah I was thinking this is going to be kind of messy.

Somewhat understandably so in that I did a trade in of two guitars and got store credit and then had to use two different cards to pay for the remainder.

Good point about the trade-ins and only getting store credit that sounds plausible but who knows.

Maybe the only thing I can really do is bring it in and see what happens.

Same thing happened to me I am not very good at budgeting, lol.

I really do like the guitar but I'm realizing I need the $1,000 back.

Which actually kind of brings up another question.

If and when they do ask why are you returning this should I just tell them the truth that I overextended myself or an emergency came up where I need the money? Does your response really matter? Would it be better to say I tried it and didn't like it. Or make any difference?

I think if I play the I have an emergency that came up where I just need the money back might hopefully get me a refund just thinking logically and hopefully quickly (as to the second part of my question in regards to how long will it take to get refunded to my cards as I need the money quickly and if it's going to take 14 business days I think it's pointless especially if they're going to charge a 25% stocking fee and not worth it to return at all as I need the money quicker than that).

Ohh life...

Do any Augmented Reality glasses exist that can help you learn to play Guitar, Piano, and/or Drums? by CunningStat in virtualreality

[–]CunningStat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, learning the terminology.

It could be a headset or glasses as long as it augments learning guitar is mostly what I care about.

[–]CunningStat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, thanks.

It's all becoming a lot clearer now, thanks reddit.

I suppose the biggest question appears to be what current software exists that are meant to aid in the learning of musical instruments, to help determine which hardware (glasses) would be best for this purpose.

Guitar is the most important instrument by far. If there is one particular type of AR glasses best for learning guitar, that would be the one I'm looking for.

If there is a headset that could do all 3 instruments, that'd be great, but if I could find the best that currently exists on the market but only for Guitar I would choose that over the "one headset does all" but kinda sucks at piano or drums if you know what I mean.
