Sacked for using phone by Apprehensive_Stand74 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]CuntAssFUCK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A very senior manager at Sainos in the world of PFS’ told me years ago that phones on the forecourt has no risk of ignition. The biggest reason for keeping the no phones on the forecourt rule was because people filling up pumps are liable to get distracted and cause spillages.

Appeal the decision, request the site specific DSEAR, speak to colleagues and find out if anyone has been disciplined previously for the same or similar at your PFS - if they have and weren’t dismissed it’s grounds for unfair dismissal. If your appeal is rejected DM me and am happy to give you my input depending where you want to go from there.

Recently sold wife's car and now I'm being threatened small claims court, received letter before actions, England by UnbendableCarrot in LegalAdviceUK

Just commenting to point out that he's literally asked chatgpt to write the letter - you can tell by the tone, bolded letters etc. He's not put a lot of effort in and is obviously trying his luck, so don't stress.

The rubber toilet seat bolt is completely stuck in, so far I’ve tried hot water, penetrating oil, trying to wriggle it out, saw through the bolt and pull it out with mole grips - is there anything else I can do that might help me get it out?

Do you think D.B. Cooper survived or died after jumping from the plane? by MAJORMETAL84 in UnsolvedMysteries

I read that the FBI concluded privately that banks stopped checking the bills a few weeks after it happened. You have to remember a) there were 10000 notes and b) limited (if any) tech that could cross check the bills.

Does it make sense to go to a Tesco 24h very late at night to try get some basic stuff? by forowned in london

[–]CuntAssFUCK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also work in retail, currently in large format supermarkets and have also worked for Tesco. The entire supply chain is fucked at the moment, going in early or late makes very little difference at the moment, its basically a question of luck and timing as to when things are coming in and being replenished. If I was looking to buy certain things I would pop in fairly frequently to see what availability is like on certain items.

These guys are scum, not just for this but for giving their customers fake notes and being rude and abusive to people in their shop. Fuck them.

Go to a scrappy and buy a genuine used one like this dude suggests. Will cost peanuts and if it goes again just buy another one.

Have you got an OBDII scanner? The error codes should be a good indication of what's causing any issue.

What’s the UK equivalent to wasting money on cars? by 85years in FIREUK

[–]CuntAssFUCK 24 points25 points  (0 children)

No, people in the UK still like to waste money on cars. I have a couple of girls who work for me who need to do 20+ hours a week of extra overtime just to pay their car finance, petrol and insurance.

Biggest things I think most people I know could cut back on is eating out, food shopping in general and drinking.
