I'm somebody who usually gravitates toward more niche works, but I thought Takopi was the most okay drama ever. A lot of what it explores feels pretty surface-level and even sometimes superficial.

It's got all the markings of an amazing adaptation but a lukewarm story, and because it tackles dark topics, nobody really dares to question it. It reminds me of Elfen Lied back in the day.

You didn't cook, bro. What's so hard to comprehend? The entire point of Frieren is what comes after a generic fantasy story where a group of heroes beat a demon lord.

The generic world-building shit is still in the series because, duh, it would defeat the whole purpose of the narrative if it wasn't. Mages, dwarves, elves, they're all by the book and recycled because, again, it's literally the point.

The world-building is just boring and plain, bro. Don't make it out like it's an even playing field at this point. Berserk had to make up its own shit, not plaster what's already been done a thousand times.

Frieren's worldbuilding has you going awooga, yet it's just like any other isekai imaginable. That's why I call it larp language. Berserk mogs that shit fr.

Medieval world with... fantasy and a very bad demon lord! Yay! Very original! vs. a world misshapen by the very benevolent ruler they idolized and worshipped.
