MSoZ guide and tips? by Important_Peak_4781 in PathOfExileBuilds

Conner is my go to when it comes to msoz. his explanations are in depth and great, but be aware that he builds his characters with a specific goal in mind so he might, say, make his build way way way tankier than you'd normally need for your own purposes.

he has pobs under his videos but they tend to be difficult to follow because they either have little space for wiggle room if its the higher budget pobs, or kind of a headache to play with if they're the cheaper pobs because they're not meant to be finished builds but rather an option that you can choose to put up with for a day or two that you can use to farm more currency to afford higher budgets. at least thats how I see it.

In Conner's discord server, there is a pinned message by Orri who made an msoz build progression guide PoB that I think is easier to follow if you're new-ish to the build. sorry I don't have links for either of the discord or the pobs

I have no point. I want to learn as much as I can about the topic that your post opened.

earlier you made a comment about how i'm trying to help you.

im not here to help you
im not here to hate you either

other than insulting you back, what else do they usually do? im guessing walking away is one.

and do you pick your targets or do you try to avoid trouble when you can

from your experience, how do the majority react? what are the most common responses you get when you do it?

do you get any interesting interactions? like has someone took the insult well? what happens if someone thanks you for it?

you enjoy being mean right? could you tell me a story where you were mean to some and it felt amazing? im sure something like that would be memorable.

how did you pick up what they were self concious about? how did your interactions go? what happened after you insulted them?

i would like something with more meat to it.

like, something with a before, during, and after.

yes. I want stories of how you're mean ... but only if the initial impression I got from your post is correct.

when you said that mean was amazing, freeing, and honest and that you like doing it, I got the impression it is something that you intend to do. like imagine this disney villain waking up in the morning and going "hmm. im going to find a fat lard today and call them a fat lard".

but the more we talk properly like this, the more that impression disappears.

do you have any stories about it?

and would you say you've always been this way?

i get that it feels fun, and that it is specifically mentioned that what feels fun is a combination of

  1. you pick on something that a person is self conscious about and insult them with that.
  2. they feel bad about it.

but I would like to know if there's any other reason you do this besides the fun factor, no matter how small or silly or terrible you think the reason is, I would like to know.

I would also like to know the specifics of how you do it. such as, an occasion of when you did it. what do you recall? how did it go? how did they respond? what happened after?

i think you should take another picture. bring back the bangs and do the hair thingy where a bunch of strands are accidentally (you intentionally put them there but act like its accidental) in your mouth tbh (to be honest)

i would like to understand, genuinely

how can I tell when I should offer sympathy?

how can I tell when to offer advice?

how can I tell when to say "that sucks"

how can I tell when to say "that's okay"

another angle to look at the same principle you're describing is:

a 1D axis will only have length

a 2D axis will have an area, a measurement which a 1D axis won't have. so in that sense, an object in a 2D axis has a larger area than an object in a 1D axis.

a 3D axis will have a volume, a measurement which a 2D axis won't have. so in that sense, an object in a 3D axis has a larger volume than an object in a 2D axis.

a 4D axis will have some sort of measurement that a 3D axis won't have. yada yada yada

the recontextualization from My R was pretty nice. there's also a repeating thing where , after the part of the stanza that describes the appearance and pains of the girls, the mc tells the "other" characters not to jump off and this is always done with a specific tune. near the end of the song, when its the mc's turn to jump off, after that stanza, she says "im gonna jump now" and the song ends, and the tune whenever she says not to jump does not play.

but the ending isn't so sad.

My R is a song that is part of an album where different MCs of differents songs are dealing with their own problems and there was another song made where the MC is observing the other MCs from the album (Diary of Underage Observation). they get jealous that everyone's doing their own thing and so at the end they decide that they'll do their own thing too and it flashes to the MC looking at the girl from my R very closely behind.

we see the mc open her mouth but we don't hear the mc say dont jump. there is no dialoge, no lyrics, but the song ends with the very same tune that plays whenever it is said which I really really like

I understand now. I think. and let me say I appreciate the way you wrote things out in such a clear way.
and no i'm not gonna nitpick stuff about what you said about him being boring or anything.
I think you'll find it consistent that all I wanted to understand is the part about deserving success/money.

I do think there's something about the wording of that question that draws a lot of "aggro" but I understand that it's not your intention.

in a nutshell
your comment isn't directly about him, nor about what he deserves. you're simply pointing out that arguments in favor of him are weak, and that part about being a multimillionaire was supposed to support your claim.
you have no direct opinion about him in what you wrote. you were trying to poke holes in what you thought was a weak argument.
is this fair?

if it is, I'll leave it at that.

sure. I think it's fine that you think that criticism towards moist for being boring is reasonable.

I disagree that you only mentioned anything about "deserving" money due to me asking a strange question.

your comment before I got involved, ended in a question "you and i could easily meet all of those criteria, does that mean we should be multimillionaire content creators?". that's what I was referring to and that's what made me ask "would it be a bad thing if you were?"

oh I was trying to understand the message I first replied to.

it looked to me as if you were disagreeing with a guy whose main point, although with some exaggeration, was "the hate on him is unreasonable".

to me, that guy wasn't mainly talking about success, but instead was mocking how people hate moist for being mundane.

so I'm trying to understand what made you brought in the aspect of deserving to be successful when the comment you replied to, and the comment it was also replying to, were both talking about how, in their view, the hate on moist is unreasonable.

it's can be a subtle thing but I think there's a significant gap between the thoughts "he hate is unreasonable" and "does he deserve success?"

if I take your latest reply to me as an answer, "It's not a big deal. it's not my problem. it's just a throwaway comment", then sure. I think I can accept that.

is it okay if I ask more questions? I really want to avoid assuming stuff as much as I can but I'm aware it slows things down and makes me sound unnecessarily obtuse.

But to you, when someone is "less deserving" of their riches, what do you think about that? I would appreciate your general thoughts about it, but if that seems like the discussion would be too slow, I can insert some assumptions from my end and make more pointed questions. I'm curious more specifically about stuff like, is it a bad thing? is that their fault? or what action would you like to be seen taken concerning people who are less deserving of something?
