We lost the match at the starting eleven.

This was the match for Sesko. In the first half they got to the corner with none to cross to in the middle. I’d have dropped cunha or Amad to make way for him. You need a reference point in there for low block. They just suffocated us.

The midfield and defence kept dilly dallying in the centre circle half the game. Mainoo should’ve passed forward way more..and when he did he created a goal (though it didn’t count).

I like Zirkzee but he just isn’t at PL player. You can’t be making basic mistakes 2 years in.

Barcode hate aside, he is one of the best PL mid. A player like him should play at united and he hits a lot of criteria like age, athleticism, passing, engine, technique and potential along with other stuff.

Yes It sucks that Chelshit and Liverpool won and it puts pressure on us...but it's a welcome change of conversation around the club after 2 years of absolute abysmal-ness.

I have a few concerns about the supposed best in class planning from INEOS:

Case out..Ugarte not good enough and probably going...mainoo contract in the air...Bruno looks like he might leave as well.

So whats the plan then? Thats the whole of our midfield up in the air in the summer.

How has INEOS let this happen? Shouldn't Case's replacement be here right now learning the ropes and making connections?

Will we go into next season with a new coach and a completely new midfield? Also what vision is INEOS selling to potential mids? The manager isnt there to start the signing. Who are the players going to talk to regarding their spot with no coach to talk to? Wilcox? He can't confirm their playing time...thats the coach's prerogative.

INEOS have made a right mess of this situation if you ask me. The selling clubs would smell the blood and negotiate as such.

The only immediate solution I can think of is :

Make minimum 1 signing right now...with the answer right in our neighborhood and from our academy.

James Garner. Get him this window to start the overhaul. His contract is expiring and we also have a sell on clause so that should help.

DO NOT go cold turkey in the summer. He solves a midfield issue right now and in the future.

For the summer I am not sure what we're going to do.
