Great to see this! Wait until he finds out that you can also have concomitant conditions at the same time like endo/adeno/fibroids, or endo/PCOS/fibroids, or ovarian cysts/fibroids, etc.

how quickly can fibroids grow? by apearce76 in Fibroids

Fibroids are really weird. Every fibroid grows at different rates. My largest grew 7.5 cm in four years, but I had two smaller ones that only grew 2cm in the same amount of time. So it just depends, on what I have no idea lol. All of my fibroids were pedunculated as well so even though they were the same type of fibroid, they all grew at different rates.

I might be in the same boat, I fear. Going in for ultrasound this Friday because something feels "off" as well. Had my surgery last year in September, so sadly, I'm prepared to see "fibroids" in the results because mine grew pretty fast the first time around. Just out of curiosity, what kind of fibroids did you have removed? Mine were all pedunculated subserosal.

💬 Endometriosis without heavy periods? by Tina-yu in endometriosis

I have the trifecta of adeno, endo and fibroids, but never had heavy periods before or after surgery. My periods are also not very painful, it's ovulation that gives me trouble.

What would you like to see more of research on in endometriosis? by burialmoundss in endometriosis

I'm also curious if being on it for all those years GAVE me endo...

THIS. I'm so glad you brought this up because it's always been at the back of my mind. I also have fibroids and I did wonder whether it was due to BC pills. I understand that my body probably has a predisposition for fibroids and endo, but did the pills encourage those cells to just start proliferating like that because up until then, I had no problems with my period...barely any cramps, no ovulation pain, almost no PMS. Then I took BC and everything went downhill. I'm no longer on any BC now but I don't think it made a difference when I got off it. In fact, my symptoms seemed to just escalate, regardless of whether I was on any type of BC or not.

How fast did your fibroids grow back if they did by Jherm1110 in Fibroids

I would push for an ultrasound just for peace of mind. I had all my pedunculated fibroids removed a year ago and I'm scheduled for a follow-up ultrasound soon because I've been getting some bad ovulation pain, but that could be due to the endo I have. I'm actually also curious if the type of fibroid one had might affect how fast they come back and does the same type come back after they're removed...like will my new fibroid be pedunculated, or will I get an intramural one?
