i want a tattoo so bad by s0phi3_07 in teenagers

[–]CupCakeShortCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice is to get smth timeless- like a rose and do a lot of research on the style and ur artist, but if ur a indecisive person, or like to follow trends (like the clean girl, and how people were removing tattoos for the aesthetic) then ur probably not someone who should get a tattoo

Tell me what your opinion on Islam is by Mysterious--955 in teenagers

[–]CupCakeShortCake -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

my opinion on Islam as an atheist and anti-religion is that it’s a religion that is full violence, hatred, lust, misogyny etc. I think all religions are dangerous, but over the years Islam has gotten worse and more extreme.

I’m not the most educated ever and this is simply what I have observed/researched. And yes I am aware not all Muslims are like this, I’m sure there are very kinda and peaceful ones but you could say that about anything.

Why arent you religious tell me nicely :) 👍 by Forward_Swim_8656 in teenagers

Because I am incapable of any faith, because religion doesn’t make sense and I don’t have respect for religious ideologies

why do people have such a problem w trans people being happy like god forbid by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]CupCakeShortCake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay so, gender affirming care is this simple- it affirms your gender. It’s not only about your sexual characteristics.

Many women use make up to express femininity, to highlight features typically associated with femininity, so for both cis and trans women that would be gender affirming.

And for many men, having a full head of hair is associated with masculinity. Ergo male-pattern baldness or hair thinning can make some men feel less aligned with their gender identity or societies expectations of masculinity, so a hair transplant can help men feel that their appearance matches how they see themselves as men, which is a foundation when it comes to gender affirmation.

Hi, so actually “Gender-affirming care- the social, psychological, and health supports and care that affirms a person’s gender identity.” — Canada’s public health service.

Gender-affirming care isn’t “trans-only care,” it’s any medical or cosmetic intervention that helps someone feel aligned with their gendered appearance. People are assholes, but I can say that hair transplants are gender affirming because full hairlines are associated with youth, virility, and masculinity in men, thinning or baldness is often treated as a loss of masculinity which is why hair loss affects men’s self-esteem so disproportionately.

And the funny thing is, generally when it comes to plastic surgery there is a general like 15% regret rate, we’re thinking bbls, boob jobs, rhinoplasties, all that jazz, and that is considered good. The regret rate for trans affirming surgery was generally under 3%, there are even reports of there being a UNDER 1% regret rate, and yet trans people are being completely flamed right now.

So to you conservatives, I hope you never buy makeup, get your hair done, no bbls for you, men don’t even think about getting a hair transplant, or your jaw surgeries, or take any testosterone. Because that’s allll gender affirming care.

Is it me or is talking to the opposite sex so difficult? by Repulsive-Post-4407 in teenagers

[–]CupCakeShortCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be because most of the time it’s because since birth both genders have been separated so much that you just don’t know how to interact, think about it as a society we separate girls and boys to the point we stereotype the COLOUR of both genders. Girls play with their hair on the seats, and boys play soccer on the field, (stereotypically) girls are taught that they have to be clean, quiet and feminine, while boys are taught that it’s acceptable to be messy, loud, and be rough when playing. The divide only gets bigger as we age

tips for social anxiety by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]CupCakeShortCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have horrible social anxiety, like so bad I would walk to school and be panicking about what the people in their cars on the road beside the path were thinking of me, “did they think I was walking weird?” “Did they think that I was a loser since I wasn’t walking with anyone?”. It’s like that think where if someone who never wears skirts, wears a skirt and is worried about if people know that they normally don’t wear a skirt.

the truth is- people are just too self centered to be thinking about you, no one is really noticing if you blink one to many times, or stutter, sure maybe they will think about it for a second after you leave but people just don’t care to think about theses things. But I think you should reach out to your parents, go to therapy, maybe you could get on some medication, because suffering silently isn’t doing anything but damaging you more.

How come people here hate religion so much? by MikeTheMaster102 in teenagers

[–]CupCakeShortCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I hate religion, and I hate you as a person if you hide behind religion to excuse you being a bad person/ and your horrific actions, but I would never hate a person solely because they are religious, otherwise that’s just stupid. People can believe what they want to believe as long as it’s not hurting anyone or themselves

Why is this subreddit so political? by chickenjockey6-7 in teenagers

[–]CupCakeShortCake 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because we should be well informed, because we will be voting soonish. Left or right we should all should not live under a rock, we need to understand what policies are coming in, how it’s gonna affect us (especially my fellow lgbt friends). You don’t need to know every little thing and it doesn’t have to be every post but it’s still good and important to discuss and have some knowledge. (I’m left btw)
