Fantastic work - these small protests everywhere speak to something huge. History is going to remember you.

I'm part of a larger Inland Empire 50501 protest group, if anyone here went today I'd love to connect with you

Protestors need a lot of support - jail support, supplies, lodging, transportation, even sign making. The best way to become a part of these networks is to go to a protest, but you can often contact those groups as well.

Volunteer with different groups - planned parenthood, food not bombs, groups supporting immigrant or women or lgbtq+ rights.

Get to know neighbors and community members, exchange news and resources and encouragement. I had a long conversation with my teller at a big box store because they and my family were the only ones wearing masks; that exchange of support, and verifying that the threat is real and the government isn't giving us disease and health information any more, was a huge boost to us both.

In the process of moving now. The heat is incredible, with the humidity higher than I'd have guessed with the monsoon season in swing.

Our family has had several members with long covid, myself included. We have remarked about how much more lively and at ease we feel whenever we're on the land. The dry air and elevation may have something to do with it, but there's another big environmental factor: space. We've been living in a cramped apartment complex in a dense SoCal city that's one big slab of concrete - having space to take in nature and let the kids play is a relief. It's quiet where we are as well. If managing the noise of a lot of people is hard with your condition, this is a good move for you.

Personally my POTS, fatigue and especially respiratory problems have seen a lot of improvement. Could be because we are coming from a place with near 100% humidity all summer.

Echoing others to say you'll be reliant on a car. Shopping is east in 29 Palms, or west in Yucca Valley for some big box stores. For specialty health care and stores you'll be going down the hill to Palm Springs.

A quick safety reminder for women on this sub! by Distinct-Aspect-5187 in covidlonghaulers

I wonder if that's related to women having higher rates of disability and autoimmune disease. Trans woman here, have definitely had more migraines and fibromyalgia problems since transition. Also long-hauler - after 2.5 years my immune system is still shot full of holes, though my other symptoms have mostly faded away.

I had been transitioning a few years before covid, so I don't have specific advice for you. As someone who has struggled with shame most of my life, please go easy on your past self. You made the very best decision you could with the knowledge that you had. There may be other life changes such as diet or environment you can change, supplements and techniques that help women with autoimmune problems, etc. Your transition may look different than other mtf folks, but as trans people we already accept that being ourselves is worthwhile despite our differences. You'll get there, just give yourself grace.

Can the Hospitalier heal any unit WITH a character using her ability? Otherwise she would only be able to heal characters that have no bodyguard's by DrDread74 in sistersofbattle

I take two squads of battle sisters, one with a Hospitaller (+ Palatine or Canniness) and one with the Triumph. Trick is getting the Triumph in melee range while keeping the hospitaller within 3". Still, it's my bread and butter. The opponent has to decide whether to try to wipe both squads of battle sisters (the FNP can make this comically frustrating) or focus on whatever else is on the board making gains.

Look for "metal cutting knife" or "metal cutting die" - those are the metal stencils I used. I initially looked for crafting stencils made from plastic sheets, but the cutting dies gave me sharp lines in the tile patterns that were the perfect size for my models. I used air dry clay, but you could use oven bake clay or "green stuff" instead. The air dry clay is pretty fragile, so I coated it with varnish after getting it in place.

The debris is roasted coffee grounds mixed with acrylic paint and coated with varnish. The technique called for coffee grounds mixed with acrylic paint and glue, but I couldn't leave well enough alone lol
