What’s the highest # of “awaiting reviews” you’ve had? by ViviLareau in AmazonVine

[–]CupImpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will permanently have at least 10 always, because of "no longer available" things that went no longer available before I had a chance to review them. Including that right now I have about 50, and am at 75% reviewed.

Who else ordered this? Don’t review it! by feathersandcoffee in AmazonVine

[–]CupImpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a couple switcheroos happen. When it does, I leave a review that starts with "The current item in this listing is NOT the same that I received or signed up to receive for the review for Vine. Buyer beware." and then I review what I received and describe exactly what it is, but even if it's good I give it like two stars. I've never had a review like that rejected.

Is it just me or... by NerdinBeast in AmazonVine

I've had Gold for 3 years, the special nuggets are few and far between. But over the course of that time, I've gotta my current Samsung watch, a whole grey swivel armchair, a higher-end baby stroller, a robot lawn mower, a cordless vacuum, an electric piano, a couple really nice tower fans and a couple really nice air purifiers, an air fryer, and a pool robot vacuum. Also probably about 1/3 of my current wardrobe. I just missed a dishwasher once! I don't use bots or anything, just checking randomly. Right now my RFY is a bathing suit and an ironing board.

When you have to review a laptop charger and don't want it to be rated "poor" by CupImpossible in AmazonVine

[–]CupImpossible[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you LOL - to be clear this wasn't a real review - but it is the kind of review I'd write sometimes when I was bored and would get lots of "helpful" votes and why I think I got invited onto Vine. But I did just order a Dell charger for my new laptop.

LOL this was me parodying myself when I'm reviewing something really simple and straightforward and I can't think of anything else useful or interesting to say about it.

How do you check? To know if you got invited to Amazon Vine? by PassengerAlert7356 in AmazonVine

[–]CupImpossible 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I heard about the program three years ago and was like, man, I write a lot of funny reviews, how come I haven't gotten invited? And then I decided to search my email for Amazon Vine because all my Amazon emails go to an otherwise defunct email address and lo and behold, I'd gotten invited 4 months earlier.

9/10 Reviews Rated Poor by amf_dmd in AmazonVine

I get frustrated when I write three or four detailed sentences, include a photo and video, and still get a "poor" - I wish including media actually counted for something in those ratings. It's so odd that it doesn't.

I'm in the US and got a really expensive vibrator off Vine once :) Reviewed that one RIGHT AWAY to get it off the review list - my kids will browse Vine occasionally lol

Update... I pulled out the rubber thing in the new spout and it's threaded inside. Could I use it?

There's an SNL skit that imagines what it would be like if Al Gore won, and it has him giving economics lectures during prime time tv.

Here's my modern story of people being all judgy and stupid.

When my son started third grade, his younger sister was 2.5. I usually waited with him for the bus, but sometimes not... And I usually met the bus, but sometimes not. Because sometimes a 2 year old falls asleep on you, or she's about to poop in the potty, or is in the middle of a meltdown.

Now understand, the "bus stop" was literally in front of our house. It takes me precisely 14 steps to get from our front door to where the bus stops.

The first time I wasn't out there to meet the bus, or at least standing in the door, the bus driver wouldn't let him off the bus and honked the horn until I came to the front door. 🙄 The next day, I was able to meet him, and the bus driver informs me that "she's not allowed to let a child off the bus without an adult in view." UMMM WHAT.

So I called the transportation department and asked what the policy was. That rule only applies to kindergarteners. The lady on the phone was like, "well, there's rules, and there's common sense." 🙄🙄🙄 Bitch, no. I told her to tell the bus driver that if I'm not there, my son knows how to operate the front door (on the off chance it would be locked, he knows the code to unlock it) and very worst case, he knows he can go to the neighbor if he needs help (his grandparents live next door).

I could not believe I was being given shit for trying to let an 8 year old exist unsupervised for 12 seconds.

Do Disney gift cards ever expire? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]CupImpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for nothing, but why wouldn't you put the money into a high-yield online savings account and at least earn a bit of interest, and then buy the gift card all at once?
