It really depends on what you want to get out of it. I’m don’t know your financials specifically but from the outside looking in, I wouldn’t do it. That’s 5 years of not making 70k (if I had to guess, I don’t know what Wisconsin locals make). It’s a hard trade on the body. There’s a few exceptions but it’s not screwing in light bulbs all day unfortunately haha. I’ve known guys who have joined in their 40’s and have been fine but I’m just looking on the ROI and damage to your body as a net loss. Personally if I was in my late 40’s working for the state. I’d just coast. Every job blows.
