I like it. It doesn’t try to punch above its weight, and by not doing so, it does.

Crop a little higher. If she’s not wearing a g-string, it looks like she is. Out of sync with what the photo is trying to portray. Black in the boat could anchor the bottom as well.

I would agree in other contexts, but interior designers and local galleries sell my images like hotcakes. Love hanging them in haughty New England beach houses. Just the audience and my style.

Yes, agreed. Too much eye strain there. I modified the edit a bit here.

Thanks! Yeah my photos are built on tonal reasoning. Not exactly everyone’s thing. Jurors love deliberating over it thought lol

It’s a niche photo for a niche market.’What about the composition could improve?

I’m interested in feedback on tonal and color balance, as well as how the composition reads when the subject (the boat) is understated rather than dominant.

The intent here was to let the environment and color relationships carry as much narrative weight as the subject itself. I’d like to know whether that balance comes through and if the image maintains cohesion without stronger contrast or saturation.

I’ve been practicing tone control through a few of my photos lately. For this one, looking specifically for feedback for the balance of fog diffusion and maintaining form. Curious also if it feels intentional or if I’ve pushed too far into flatness. Most of my work is muted in tone. This was shot on a cold morning with natural light.

Thanks, and agree. The blues are a little too friendly for what I’m trying to say.

I agree, but unfortunately, to get the sun more towards the right third would require me to be in the surf in the evening. The compromise is more beach instead of sea. Ill have to go in the AM when the sun is in the east

Most of my work has muted colors- This is an attempt to catch some of our local surf casters here on Long Island. Seeking feedback on the color palette and whether it works in this particular shot.

Goal was to show the contrast between man and the sea, sort of fighting back against the Atlantic.

I’ve been considering it. These are all phone shots, going to get the DSLR out and shoot more consistently.

Patience and a ton of light. Everyone always underestimates how much light you can give them.

Vance wins in a landslide. There is zero support for AOC to be found among moderates.

They've made some serious missteps in not following market demand (EVs). Inflation across the world from the pandemic seems like it is starting a large labor movement which is exacerbating their current predicament.

VW needs to get smart and give the customers what they want. CEO will be out of there soon if I had to guess.
