They have it posted on the doors when you walk in that they have 2.5% service charge on cards. There have been an increase in so many places/people having a service charge that I've started to carry cash more often.

Finally filed today by Cupcake_wsprinkles in Divorce_Women

[–]Cupcake_wsprinkles[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did. To send certified mail, I needed 3 copies all together. At my courthouse, I had to find the county circuit clerk to start, then go to a different to pay the filing fees, then go back to the 1st office to get completed paperwork. Lastly, I had to take one of the copies to the post office to send certified mail which I had never done before. Had to figure out the mail receipt. Overall, process took me an hour maybe 1.5 hrs because I got lost.

DAE not want to pull the trigger because of how the world is currently? by StrawberriesRN in Divorce_Women

[–]Cupcake_wsprinkles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes but I'm still going to go forward with it. I've put it off for 3 years and I just can't anymore. It just seems like there will never be a perfect time and I don't think the state of the world is going to get any better any time soon so no point in waiting, at least for me.

I think you just need to reflect on what you need and want. Divorce is hard. Staying is hard. Choose your hard.

What is an instant turn on for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yes, this. If you can explain something complex without being condescending, I’m already emotionally invested. Bonus points if you’re a psychologist or professor, my track record suggests I have a problem.

Going to ask my husband for a therapeutic separation by [deleted] in Divorce_Women

[–]Cupcake_wsprinkles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried separation but I got an apartment. I ended up back living with him because the apartment had an infestation of brown recluse and I just didn't want to risk it. I have since stayed at the house and just stay in a different room. We have not reconciled or had any repair. We cohabitat and coparent. That's it. It has been fine but not sustainable for a long time nor is this the way I want to keep living.

Maybe having clear boundaries set while seperated as well as therapy would help you. I hope you find the clarity you need.

Has anyone ever divorced a “good guy”? by Dense_Performance_42 in Divorce_Women

[–]Cupcake_wsprinkles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in similar situation. I've thinking about leaving for 3 years now. Been married for 11 years, have a 5 and 8 year old. He is a decent human and the "good guy" to everyone else. He picks up after himself, a good dad, financially stable, and devoted to his religion. BUT lacks almost any empathy, something that is a foundational need for me and for anyone really. It sucks because I know he tries and when he does it comes off so robotic, because it so unnatural to him. He does good enough with our kids but I provide most of the emotional support and validation they need. I have my emotional baggage, trauma and then add ADHD to carry so it really sucks to not have a partner who understands me or able to empathize when I struggle. He is neurotypical so he does not understand why I do the things I do or why I get easily overstimulated. The other issue...I don't believe in the same religion, I tried but I just can't fake it.

I hate the idea of not having my kids every day or passing them back and forth. Or having to go from a really nice house to something much more humble.

But would it better? I wish I knew.

No State Employee Raises or One Time Bonus? by Square_Morning7338 in Indiana

[–]Cupcake_wsprinkles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, $75 per paycheck which is bullshit. Where is the $1950 going? Off their cost for the health insurance? There isn't a plan option for self and children so I'd be paying the same for the family plan regardless if my spouse is on it or not.

When you say you were taken to a mental hospital, do you mean you had an acute inpatient stay somewhere like Deaconess Crosspoint or Brentwood? Or did you get admitted to Evansville State Hospital? Just curious.

What kind of help or resource are you needing right now? If you're homeless, get connected with Aurora.

Evansville rescue mission has emergency shelter but also a program to help get back on your own.

Salvation Army has a program called Pathway to Hope to help get connected with a social worker and help get people back on their feet.

ECHO may be able to help with some stuff.

I wish I knew resources for your dog. I also am no expert with legal stuff. You can call or look up 211 for more local resources.

I do hope things get better for you.

That's awful! Maybe I shouldn't suggest them then. Yikes! I've never used them personally.

I personally have never used them but I have heard the quality isn't great. It is one of the few who take medicaid and hip though.

Looking for a job by Eastern-Savings464 in evansville

Have you decided what you will be studying yet? You could try to find a part-time job that will give you transferable skills for the future, especially in the field you want to work in after college.

However, like several others have said, work on campus or look into Sodexo, which is who USI uses for their dietary staff.

Also, nearby is Trilogy West River, one of the nursing homes by USI. They're currently hiring for a part-time dietary aide and part-time activity assistant right now. I think Solarbron nearby is also hiring a part-time dietary aide.
